Definitely like the little bit of a longer video but what an awsome mine to find. That was a pulley wheel you found most likely

Yeah, after editing the video, that is what I thought too. Much more likely to be a pulley wheel than a cart wheel. Thanks!

Thank you so much. This was a great explore. Length isn’t a problem. You and the misses stay safe. Keep them comming.

That first cross drift blockage is a slusher ramp. A cable driven bucket scrapes material from the tunnel up the ramp and into the ore car.

Interesting. That would be cool to see in person.

Hi again Nick! That first hole more than likely wasn’t a mine at all. That looked more like a cold storage that they food and other stuff cool during the summer months and warm during the winter months. I’m only saying that is because of how they have that dug out the way it is. And more than likely there was a heavy wooden door or even a steel door framed into the entrance. There’s quite a few of those around here where I live. I know of at least 5 of those around the area. Back then they didn’t have fridges or anything to store anything so they used either the earth, rock or even mortar. Also it could be what another poster said, explosives storage. Back then I think it was a requirement that explosives storage had to be so far away from the mines themselves.

They blocked that off for water for the drills 😊

That first one was more than likely for dynamite storage 😊

Might have lived in there. Be pretty cozy compared to a drafty old cabin.
