Thanks for caring! You are absolutely right. I’ve learned a lot since then, and Bear stays home now. That being said, do know that he is well trained and we are both very sensitive to safety.

Nice Nick and the mine keeps going beyound the safety of ones own mine some day you will find and show 💰💰right .p.s. A long time ago went to a mine from 1880s on the week end with my sons Dog got to to portal i went in but there was No way she would set foot in that dark hole even with a flashlight.p.s Love your sons intro from 2 weeks ago i'am still viewing that adventure 😀⛏️🇺🇸 any up date on how All those. Taking dogs into mines is dangerous for them. Canadian Frank’s dog died from a fall while exploring.

I've seen this mine before. I think that the machine you saw was an air chugger. In the mine I worked at would mount them to the floor and drag materials with it. It ran off of compressed air so we would run pipe and hose to the air chugger.
@Miner49er116 күн бұрын
Interesting. I’ve never seen one like that!

You should carry a short rope or paracord. Just a small rope can be a great help.

Watch out for rattle snakes in the first 40' inside the mines. I would make noise going into the mine thinking there could be a mtn lion or bears inside.
@bobsprague336316 күн бұрын
If you measure the width of the drill hole will give you an idea on the age of the mine. 7/8 to 1" would mean that they hand drilled the holes.

It’s not bad man. But you gotta work on keeping the light in the middle of the screen and keeping the filming wherever the light goes. On several occasions you’re filming without a light and the viewer just sees blackness in the middle of the screen.
@Miner49er1Ай бұрын
I appreciate the feedback! I'll try to keep the light in the center.

That top hole with the wall at the end was probably built by the miners to stop anybody accidently falling into the deeper hole, there are good examples of that sort stuff here in the UK in Cornwall

have you considered having some glow sticks to drop into dark places? I see no reason to do anything too risky. a few minutes of youtube isn't worth relinquishing the mortal coil over guy.

One of those holes on top of the mountain is probably the exit point for that emergency escapeway ladder we saw down in that one mine.

Probably. It would be interesting to climb up and see.
@AbandonedMines112 ай бұрын
@@Miner49er1 That is still on my to-do list. Based on what you showed in this video of yours, though, I have a sneaking suspicion that maybe the emergency exit point is caved in or no longer usable.
