Another great episode. Almost my bucket list trip. There is a summer ski lift on the glacier, though access is from the Odha side….which is a long sail from where you stopped. They have a midsummer event, Telemark ski and camp. …this summer if all goes well.

Love the boat mainsheet seems to get in the way, possibly double it or change to the German system
@sailingmaalie10 ай бұрын
We did double the mainsheet so we could use an extra cover in the cockpit whilst still sailing. Using dyneema soft shackles it can be removed very easily

Hey Mike, thanks for commenting! Have an amazing trip, how far north do you plan to sail?
@MikeSantis Жыл бұрын
@@sailingmaalie as long as I can find time for it. Probably 3-4 weeks. So it is not going to be much north. My dream is to sail up to Lofoten. But that is a bigger plan. Just came back from a two and a half weeks in the Swedish archipelago kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKmmdX95naaNiq8si=QtO2ETloyKKaGR01

We aimed to get there too, but were lured in by the small West coast islands and fjords. There is just so much to see - an adventurers playground! We will definitely be back. Will check out your video link 👍🏼

@@sailingmaalie I'm watching from England, a small town on the muddy old Severn Estuary. My interest in the Rival 32 was what lead me to your channel. Then stayed for the cruising content, most enjoyable
@sailingmaalie Жыл бұрын
Ah cool! We haven't sailed there yet, need to close the loop from Cornwall to Ireland then we will have been round the UK. The Rivals are stout boats, we were very lucky to find this one. Any R32 questions we are happy to answer! Thanks again 😁
