Yeah, I have to admit that this site scared me a good bit at first. Lots of Uranium mining was done in this area, and there are tons of horror stories from the mining and processing, so going into an actual uranium mine was a bit intense. Thankfully this site turned out a lot safer than we had guessed, and was an incredible explore. Thank you for watching!

Good job. Enjoyed the commentary about the mines minerals and geology. What a cool mine with the UV light. Would a stronger UV light make a noticeable difference in the brightness of the glowing areas?

A larger or stronger light may have lit up more, but for UV the size of the emitter matters a lot when trying to get the right level of color. The light that my exploring partner brought produced light in the correct wavelength to really make everything light up, but it would take a lot more power and a much larger light to get much more than we did out of it. It just takes a lot of energy in the right way to get it all to shine.

My companion on the day had one. I don't make it a point to enter too many Uranium mines, so I don't carry one of my own. This one was barely even higher than the background though, so we were fine.
