I last visited Eastland in March 2018. Me and my brother got our ears pierced, and my other brother got his tongue pierced. There weren't many stores left, and there were only like 30-40 people in the section of the mall I was in. There was a huge Christmas tree from December that hadn't been taken down yet. There were a lot of broken/turned off ceiling lights. Thanks for this video!

That giant store was jc penny, one end was a Lazarus and the other end was sears. It was a great mall and had all kind of cool stores. Eastlands down fall was no one wanted to go there, stores were pulling out because of theft which was a big factor and the mall was starting to fall apart. Miss that mall

I bet it was! Thank you for sharing and I think it’s crazy we can kind of tell what a store is when there’s nothing even left inside of it lol

@@exploringwithbrody Necro comment but, the Lazarus had a 3rd floor resturant that you could sit down to eat in. The Tropico in the food court was a Chik-Fil-A before it was a thing in Ohio. There was called Aladdin's Castle in the 90's. It was an Arcade that we used to play Mortal Kombat II and Killer Instinct in. We had make shift tournaments on the weekends. In the mid 90's E3 came into the center of the mall and held a mini E3 hosted by the Electronics Boutique that was next to the Journeys store. In the 80's the center of the mall was where Santa Claus setup shop. It was a really fun place to be in the 80's and 90's. Crime, Easton and Polaris malls killed this place.

🔥🔥🔥So crazy how much stuff was just left there , did it shut down because of the pandemic?
@exploringwithbrody11 ай бұрын
I think it just shut down because all of the big chains like JCPenney and stores like that left then the smaller stores just couldn’t keep it open and eventually everything just dipped

I know all about that mall. It was shut down because of big chain stores going out of business. A huge water main break, etc… Now the owner who lives in Dubai is dealing with court all the time, etc.. There’s always a puddle of water on the floor due to that. I know people who have been prosecuted for going in there so just be careful. They do have Security that goes in there here and there.
