It's really a sad sight seeing these steam locomotives and the workshop rotting away like this after abandonment! I wish the the engines and the site will be preserved and turned into a museum for tourist.

The locomotive with name Mahaveer was actually made by Bayer Garrat. India too had broad gauge versions of Bayer Garrat. One is preserved at National Rail museum in Delhi & the other one is in the Kharagpur workshop in working condition.

These are called Garrett locomotives used for heavy hauling freight and had a good speed.
