I agree. Bethany and Drew have a collective talent for direction and production. They put out a very entertaining and informative video every time. Very professionally executed. Also agree with the storytelling. Oddity Odysseys is still my number one choice on YT and it still holds the spot for best YT series. A show like this could easily be shown on cable tv with millions of viewers tuning in for each new episode.

I swear you guys have the right chemistry to make this into an actual show. Like the ones on Travel Channel or Scyfy. You guys should look into using spirit boxes and ghost equipment. I know its not for everyone but youll guys get even more views and followers. regardless I hope you guys never stop making videos.

I used to do a lot of photography at Scary Dairy because it makes a great backdrop (and every time I went the graffiti was different). A decade later, I retired and went back to school and now I attend CSUCI. The campus is beautiful, and this year it is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Great video as always. I can't wait to talk about it with my fellow students.

Just went with my husband 3 days ago. Sunny day and so not particularly scary. But fun. Also, there's an old airstrip near the parking lot. I guess people just use it for remote control planes now. There was one guy flying a remote control plane around. We also drove around to the CSUCI campus (the old mental hospital) and that is a very pretty school. There is a sign with a QR code at the scary dairy that you can scan to pay your online parking fee, and then the parking fee is good for the school too if you drive over there to look around.

You guys should try and see if you can get access into CSUCI, that university is the old Insane Asylum! When I worked out in Camarillo, we had access to work in the overgrown areas but had to pass through some old hallways that were once that asylum

My wife and I went with some friends in 2006. We all walked to it at night and we got to the barn, there was a lot of overgrown weeds. When we got to the dairy the weeds started moving uncontrollably and there was no wind, we didn’t see any animals or anything that would explain why the weeds were moving. So we all started running back towards the cars. That was a scary moment, we for sure knew it was haunted.

Great Video! I went there for my first time in 2017 with a group of friends at night, had to park at the location next door and trek in. Seeing the first building appear in the darkness for the first time was absolutely surreal, something that stuck with me however is when approaching it we all got a bit quiet to kind of take it in (also were trying to be quiet as we were on the trail after hours and the campus police do frequently check in there). When being quiet we heard a "shhh" we all freaked out but our friend who took us there calmed us down and assured it was probably a bird. Didn't really think anything of it but what bird makes a shh sound? Also was curious if you guys were able to find the well there? I found it once in 2018 but was never able to retrace my steps.

An absolutely true story that my mother and I love to tell: We were both born in a former mental asylum. It was built during WWI for "shell-shocked" soldiers, and was being used as the same during WWII. Near the end of the war, a bomb landed in the field behind it, and damaged the building. They repaired it over a year or so, and turned it into a 'regular' hospital. My mother was the first baby born there, and I was born in the same ward.

I used to transport and pickup violent locked down mental patients at the hospital from 1991-1994 and have been in many of the rooms now occupied by the college. During the fire that occurred nearby and threatened the hospital we were on standby to evacuate the patients because we had a fully caged 13 passenger van. This brings back memories, wish I would have known about the dairy back in those days I certainly would have gone to visit that. Great video.

God bless you two. I live in Southern Cali and have been to a couple cool places thanks to you guys. There is a haunted castle in Antelope Valley. Shea's Castle. My Grandma use to creep me out with stories when i was a kid. This guy built a castle for his wife. Short version, rich guy, sick wife, goes broke, wife dies, guy drowns himself. But the local stories are far more interesting. There are also Indian drawings on the property and you can still see an old runway. Owners are cool. Might give you a tour. Rock on 😎👍

I've gone to many of the places you have featured on your videos either before or after watching your videos. Great work! Anyway I strongly suggest you pay a visit to the Santa-Fe Trading Co. in Old Town Victorville. The owner Steve is a great guy... the place is amazing, and has a cool long history to it... and maybe a little bit of the paranormal to it. It's a hidden oasis in plain sight. I'll be vending there at their next Art and craft event on Oct. 29. If you guys can make it I think you'd love the experience there. I had to laugh when I saw you two were covering the "Scary Dairy". because around the time I started following your channel I was considering making a video out there. While I was researching it, I found a video about it titled "Are you Brave enough? - Scary Dairy" from the Island News KZbin channel and I honestly thought the girl hosting the video was Bethany, Lol. I was, like, "Oh, she must've filmed this when she was in college or something." Obviously, it wasn't her, but the coincidence was funny. Great video, seeing you a little out of your regular element, with the potential for paranormal activity all around. And, hey, after the first couple of times witnessing objects move on their own, _you start to get used to it_ 😆

I really enjoy your videos. They are nicely done and the tidbits of research are fascinating But please be careful about looking at the past through today’s eyes. Those “questionable” practices that you mentioned in the intro were, at the time, best practices in a world that did not understand mental illnesses and for which effective treatments were few and far between. Electro convulsive treatments, ECT, while seldom used nowadays, still have therapeutic benefits for certain conditions that do not respond to other methods. And with modern methods they are far less traumatic.

I saw the link in your 360 video your full one is here so I c/p my comment. Btw good job pronouncing Camarillo, most don't :) It's not haunted by any means. This old dairy structure sits on the park property of Channel Islands State University, the "No Trespassing” signs are for safety as well as preservation reasons yet people still don't care and "explore", but hey that's your choice. It was part of Camarillo State Mental Hospital, which operated from 1936 to 1997 (I had a friend who was a patient there and worked there in the 80s). This is the dairy farm that produced crops and housed livestock that fed the hospital community. Also patients from the hospital worked there too. The farm was disbanded in the 1960s and has been in this state since the 70s with it declining more and more each decade. Yes, you are correct about the fires. Several fires have happened over the years as with countless other incidents. Haunted, no. Bad mojo, yes. CSMH was not a great place to work nor be, especially in its early years when shock treatment and mistreatment of patients and staff was overlooked.
