This place was a GEM in the late 90's/early 00's. Best birthday parties growing up were there lol

This was a great rink, I used to artistic skate back in the early 90's and this was probably my favorite rink for competitions. I don't know if anyone else can confirm this, but I think back in the day they used to have a slide built into the wall. There was a little kid-sized hole in the wall that you climbed through to get to it, and another kid sized hole at the bottom to get out. Best part of any rink I've ever been too. I am almost positive it was this rink. Probably an insurance nightmare nowadays 😆. Also I do remember the animatronics too.

Anyone from the 80s remember when there was a slide inside the wall with a little crawl space to get in? They had to seal it off cuz older kids did vile things in there lol

My parents met at Roll on America in the 80s. I grew up going to roll on every weekend. There used to be animatronic robots where the birthday parties were held. The manager wanted to buy it from the owners but UHAUL put in a bigger offer. I guess the owners wanted the money more.

I literally grew up there. In the 90’s It didn’t quite look like that but man, so many memory’s, laser storm, trying to get “the girl” to do the slow skate with you (they never did) ninja turtle arcade game.. the creepy animatronic animal band, fried dough… I’m genuinely sad , didn’t realize it closed even though I haven’t thought of it in like, 20 years.

Same. Went there every chance I could get in the 90s. Even had a school sleepover field trip once, also maybe one with Girl Scouts... Was bummed to here they closed down. So many good memories.

I miss roller skating so much, they took the one down in my home town to make it a damn dirt hill now!!! And it was the ONLY thing or place for us to go to just be kids

How do you find all of these places and I guess you fly all over to get to them? What's that noise in background?

Noise in the background was a generator running, left by previous construction workers (place is gone by now) we haven’t flew anywhere yet, we will soon. As for how we find these places, lots of research and scouting (while driving around)
