Cool video! I'm definitely going to try to explore this abandoned building in January!

I used to live down the street from this place when it was open, I remember running around some of the floors (when I could get in) with some of my friends years ago. I moved and 4 years ago very surreal coming back home to visit family a few months ago and seeing that place in that condition.

Another fascinating video! Thanks man. There was a great article about the building in 2018 in the Riverfront Times. Just as you discovered, the first three floors were home to businesses as well as residences. The article also interviews the owner of the grocery store right next store. And the original plan was for two towers, one at each end of the strip mall. Great stuff!

Sorry I missed the premiere. I just went back to watch it, and this place is awesome. The Scrappers didn't leave anything to spare here, they wanted to do a thorough job!! I have not found many abandoned apartment buildings in my time, this is a great find. Thank you for taking us along, as always, stay safe out there my friend

Thanks, Rich! Yeah, sadly the scrappers were relentless here. Thank you for watching!

@@lordexplores Ray Nick O Mac and Steph brought me and the lost Turtle to an abandoned Medical Center this morning. There was an entire room filled with wire casings. The Scrappers literally tore the walls down just to get the wires out of them. What used to be hallways and rooms was now one big open room, absolutely disgusting. Somewhat impressive to see the lengths they go through, but disgusting

This place is insane. We explored this place last summer and were busted by the cops. Glad you were able to go further than we did. Be careful around in this area though, because it's super sketchy. Awesome video

Yeah, usually the best spots are in really bad areas. I'm used to it by now haha, just gotta keep to yourself

Agreed, this place was dope!! There is a ton of abandoned stuff out there, but abandoned apartment buildings are on the endangered species list, don't usually find a lot of these. 🤔 well at least I don't lol

We ate in that restaurant in the 80s. The restaurant used to rotate.
@lordexplores5 жыл бұрын
This restaurant never rotated. I believe you must be referring to the restaurant on top of Millennium Hotel which is in downtown St. Louis. Very similar architecture styles.

This was a condo building years ago. Back in the 70-80's it housed offices and a restaurant. I work in that neighborhood all of the time. Murders galore.

I wonder when this place closed down and why people had to evacuate so quickly or why they left their belongings.

2:14 a real alligator?

I don't think so, it's hard to see, but the colors don't look right. Plus if it was real, I would assume it would be decaying and all nasty or something. And I think they would make a bigger deal out of it if it was. I'm only replying because when I saw it I was wondering the same thing, I backed the video up and paused it to get look.

The neighborhood is not a bad neighborhood, it was office spaces and apartments I knew the apartment manager and a few people who stayed there before the elevators went out the building was shut down because it cost to much to renovate but it used to be a beautiful.

I explored this place years ago just before it closed down and turned to complete shit. I explored the restaurant and took a bunch of pictures which some guy used in an article and is still up. I am more interested in the theater. I think I went there when I was a young kid maybe once or twice, I did go there in the early 90's when it was a club of sorts and seen a band play.

It kinda looks like a hud housing building it’s where the government leases out apartments to low income families or the less Fortunate I kinda wanna do some research on it

Check out the article I found about it. KZbin may not let me post the link, so just do a search for: Riverfront Times Lewis and Clark Tower. The article should come up ("In the Shadow of the Lewis & Clark Tower"). Cool stuff.

It was all condos and businesses and the top was a restaurant that rotated. The building was condemned and I guess the people were forced out. Sad it used to be a nice place in the 70’s.
