John again.Corfinium almost became the capital of Italy.Tradition says Pilate was born there.The word Italh comes from here as it was imprinted on coins found there.Anothet fantastic video and so sharp and clear.Hope you go to the Stiffe caves and Scanno. All the best.

Isn't the history of Italy amazing! And Corfinium is so well worth a visit. We love Scanno and go there most summers, it's also a place we visit on our actual tours but we haven't yet made a video there. We will put it on the list as per the Grotte de Stiffe which we've actually not yet been to. I keep driving past the signs for it and will get there one day. The kids love caves so we must take them!

Thanks for watching Jackie and thanks for your comment. Corfinio is beautiful. Do you mean the Pietrantonj winery in Vittorito? It's the oldest of Abruzzo. 🍷

This is a very unique village ,picturesque ,full of charm and looks uninhabited .I would love to travel there ,thanks for sharing your experience.
@ExploringAbruzzo3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your lovely comment; it is indeed a very unique village but it is definitely inhabited, you'll notice that particularly at aperitivo time in the main square. But yes, there are plenty of uninhabited properties so generally it's very quiet there. I do hope too that you get to travel there one day. And if you haven't already, please do subscribe to our channel to get notifications when we post a new Exploring Abruzzo video. Grazie mille.

How is corfinio today? I am looking to buy a place there but wanted to learn about the town
@ExploringAbruzzo4 ай бұрын
Corfinio is just as it always is: beautiful! Nothing changes much here but to be honest I've only driven through a few times to go to Raiano or to go to the cinema and aquapark since we made our film. Are you planning on visiting?
