I retired at age 53, so I am in my early 60s. Many of them resisted me because they couldn't understand the idea of not working if it wasn't necessary. I considered the phases of my life. I worked very hard to achieve what I have now, but in my last years, I owe it to myself to "stop and smell the roses." In my instance, I departed the nation after retiring and currently reside in Latin America. It made it possible for me to appreciate my new surroundings while escaping all the bad things that were going on in America. Nobody that I know of regrets retiring has yet to come to me

Nice way to retire. For me, I believe retirees who struggle to meet their basic needs are the ones who could not accumulate enough money during their active years to meet their needs. Retirement choices determine a lot of things. My wife and I both spent same number of years in the civil service, she invested through a wealth manager and myself through the 401k. We both still earning after our retirement fund has grown way more than it would have with just the 401(k). Haha

It's unfortunate most people don't have such information. I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than a million dollars by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Doesn't matter if the economy is misbehaving; great wealth managers will always make returns

I think this is something I should do, but I've been stalling for a long time now. I don't really know which firm to work with; I feel they are all the same but it seems you’ve got it all worked out with the firm you work with so i surely wouldn’t mind a recommendation

We boast about our culture without knowing anything. There are 4 ashramas ,i.e Gurukula, grihastha, vanaprastha, and sanyasa. After retiring or relinquishing work and family responsibilities ,i.e. Grahastha ashrama, one should go to vanaprastha i.e. vana means forest, in olden days they go to forest to know the real purpose of this life. Means they should move from the so-called bondages , In present day it is a beautiful opportunity for the people who attained 60 years to introspect themselves and to move to the path of spiritualism i.e enlightenment. If we are really have true faith and respect in hindu dharma(not hindu religion) we should take this as an opportunity to explore the true purpose of human birth. It is my personal opinion only. Not to hurt the feelings of anyone. At the end of the day it is the choice of the person.

Yes with no hospital near by when seniors fall sick it's a great suffering.my parents suffered a lot in one such home near Hyderabad later sold and came back to home town .not at all advisable.

This is not suitable for Indians, our culture is different. Don't encourage such type of promotions. The incumbents will suffer with health problems. Food and laziness will help to become ill.

I know its hard to accept it..but instead of suffering with loneliness..this is a good option for elders ..some elders need care 24/7 due to their health issues..only considering these factors i support this kind of homes

The glassy finish of flooring is not advisable in old-age homes.Atleast 3ft.width carpet be spread as pathway for the safety of the inmates.

Very happily one couple can take for rent… singlebed villa… it’s hardly 50 to 60k max for staying… njoying all benefits. All festivities we njoy lyk guests. Meds n fruits n Amazon n big basket at our door step.

An unwanted and expensive alternative created for elders by irresponsible kids (read as “mostly NRI kids”) to hide their guilt for being unable to take care of the older dependents who dutifully invested the best part of their lives in rearing children. Let us learn to discourage such initiatives.

I know these a people are fraudulent people, they take money and will not deliver, this project was started way back in 1998 as park villas, then changed names and now it is Advait retirement homes, people have booked when they were working, now they are grand parents still looking to get possession of the property. The promoters are very smart, they 1st collect advance in cash(black money) which’s not shown.
