Wooooarrrr! Nice find man! Some cool features down there, the blue and greens are minerals relating to copper, I see them a lot in the mines down here in Cornwall. Watch out for them flooded shafts on the sides of the tunnels, usually a false wooden floor goes across the other side of them, often hidden under the rocks and dirt that have fallen over the years, be aware they could just give way sending you down hundreds of feet :( Always good to have someone with you inside the mine, just incase something did happen. Great footage of the explore, I expect you can google more info on the workings on the surface too, I expect it was someones project to reopen the mine or dig out further sections. So, we going to see more mine explores in the near future? :) Keep up the good work!

Cornish Mine Explorer ha ha 😀 thanks man, awesome comment! I was pretty scared on my own and definitely not brave enough to take any risks. I was sure the second shaft I got to had a false floor, I wasn't too happy about that bit. I would like to go back with some waders and explore the other tunnel👌 If I can find others that are safe enough I will definitely explore them, in my area it was all coal mines and very dangerous 😨 thanks again mate I really appreciate it 🖒

I was watching a show about mines in Death Valley on Netflix. Apparently somewhere there is a tunnel that goes on for miles, and leads to this area where there supposedly Gold just all over the place. Anyway, there were three exploring the mine, and there was nobody talking and it was being recorded. On the recording when played back there is a noise....they had a device that played back slowly what the noise was and there was a voice before the noise that said, “Watch Out”. It was kind of spooky. Loved the video, thanks.

Might wanna take an air meter with you in the mines you go into.... Never know, it could save your arse!! Keep up the vids for the ones that have roots in the area but probably never get the chance to see in person! Thanks for what you do!!

The Romans ran off with most of it but there were mines in more recent time like Vigra Mine, Bontddu, Gwynfynydd, Dolgellaum, Clogau to name but a few all around the Dolgellau Gold Belt. The last the Gwynfynydd mine closed in 1999 as it was worked out. Large deposits have since been found in Ireland making any remaining Welsh gold uneconomic.

upalevel productions funnimy enough it was much the same then but more signs of working and we had a key as that door was still locked. I was a founder member of a now defunct organisation called MRBA mines research in the Bristol Area and we knew the butcher in Dolgelau who was also an ardent caver we took him down swildons and a few other local caves and old lead shafts and in return he took us to some amazing old mines Gold as well as slate some of the slate mines were Huge and still had relics of the heyday wooden carts clothing still on pegs and boots in racks shame we didnt have mobile pho es or action cams back then, keep up the good work 👍
@upalevelproductions6 жыл бұрын
Dave Woods That's great 😉 I love exploring caves and especially these mines, it's amazing to imagine what they would be like to work in when they were in their prime. I have a huge silver, zinc and lead mine video coming up soon 👍 are you on Facebook or instagram? If could send me some locations of caves and mines I would very much appreciated it👍 in private of course, I don't like to reveal the locations because they are so dangerous
@davewoods39606 жыл бұрын
upalevel productions well to be honest most of the mines we visited are now well known so there would be no suprises and as for the caves they are all available in the mendip mines register www.mcra.org.uk/registry/ And all are well caved I doubt if there are any hidden gems left But if I hear of anything ill be sure to let ypu know 👍

If it's dangerous going down mines and you're telling bus not to do it why are you going down mines? I 'live' in North Wales I've been down loads of mines and you're right it is instant death, I died instantly the first mine I ever went down. I suppose you're wondering how I've visited all the other mines, supernatural effort that's how. Also the old timber propping the thing up is not. They put timbers like that as a crude device to check for movement/subsidence in the adits.
