Exploring an abandoned military island 💣

Drake’s Island is a fortified location lying in Plymouth Sound with a proud military history stretching 400 years. It was on this deserted rock that we spent the day putting some of our latest product releases to the test with technical rope work from climbing, to scrambling and abseiling.
Among those products tested, our 3L waterproof hard shell, the Aigis Jacket and two newer pieces in our Ithax insulated jacket and Veles soft shell. Each layer more than earned its place amongst the ThruDark range, demonstrating the mobility required for technical movements as well as the durability to withstand abrasion from ropes and rough terrain.

Amazing with this long form bts. The rough cuts without music really makes it authentics. I almost felt like I was there on the shoot. Great job with speaking about the products in between shooting. I would love to see more of these kind of videos in the future. Cheers.

I worked on the island for over a year cutting back the overgrown vegetation. We also had to clean up after the RM had trashed all of our hard work.We didn't have any health and safety so the slip trips and falls makes me laugh

What makes you leave the SBS? I couldn’t ever imagine having to try finding a job that would give you the same job satisfaction. I remember being 20yrs old and spent a year training for the briefing course at Poole with some royals onboard our ship . I never went, never would of made it. Wish I’d gone for the experience though. Huge respect to you mate 👍

All the videos in the world can't make up for the ridiculous super overly priced shit they sell. Which isn't great. My uf pro and DM jackets are far better.
