Getting some comments that the video is having issues playing for some. I'm not really sure what to make of the recent technical issues, but I spoke to Mr. KZbin and he said he was gonna do some stuff on the backend to hopefully alleviate the issues. Lemme know if you're having any problems playing below this comment. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.

Then you’re a good mother. My parents r probably the most happily married ppl I have ever seen out of any couple whether it be in real life, in movies or tv shows I’ve never seen 2 ppl love and support each other more. Yet my mother always said even though she loves and would kill or die for my father her kids always come first and obviously he never would but if my father ever abused us she would take us and leave immediately without a second thought because that’s what being a parent is.

I absolutely agree. I dont believe that his father had no idea what was happening at all. I am also surprised that his mother supposedly never saw any bruising or injuries to him all those years if his stepmother was constantly punching him in the face repeatedly and beating him all over. I think less of her as well that she did not bother to press charges against the stepmother once she found out what was going on.

I have a lot of questions about the Rachael story; If this crazy b*tch was repeatedly punching and slapping a child in the face, why didn't anyone report or see marks or bruises? The father, mother, or school staff didn't see any signs of abuse? Then there's the incident when she drags Op away by the arm and screams and punches them with the family there, nobody said anything? Also once the mother did find out, why wouldn't she press charges? Personally if it were me, the woman wouldn't be breathing, and then Op continued to see them on and off until they got divorced? How could Op ever fogive the dad after all that? Idk, I just don't understand a lot of this story lol

Yes, I thought the same thing once chains and whips were read. The only difference is the original author at least went with their gut, saw the potental red flags and did their own personal investigation on the guy to get answers on his past. I call absolute bullshit on the story about the girl who claims she antagonized some girl on an app and then drove to another city to go "beat her up" and then subsequently got "kidnapped" and thrown in to the trunk of his car, dragged by her hair into a creepy house, thrown into a back room and then suddenly the police burst into the place arresting him, rescuing her and reuniting her with her sister who had followed them there in her own car and called the cops. In the second story idk how that poor woman’s father didn’t beat her lowlife scumbag p.o.s. ex husband to death with his bare hands. It sounds like he physically and sexually abused her and I’m mentally and verbally as well, he straight up S.A. her (but I’m sure he had her sign that consent form which would protect him from and legal ramifications regardless of what he did to her), he tapped everything and had full control and access to her phone, e-mail, social media and he could even activate the front camera to her phone and stalk her and basically make her a prisoner at all times. Those things alone already put him up there among the worst pieces of garbage but that still wasn’t enough for him he posted explicit pictures of her on social media multiple times and just when u think he can’t go any lower he somehow still manages to be even more of a creep and a lowlife and he mails explicit pics of her to her own parents… I mean come on now if anyone deserves to have their ex gf or wife’s father beat them to death with his bare hands it’s definitely this guy and I 100% am in favor of him not even facing any charges.

I know this will sound victim blamey. But story 3 about the creepy maintenance man just has some stupid decision from the narrator, that it sounds made up. After a very intense chase with the maintenance man you forgot about it? The very reason you had to ride with your coworkers for a few days after it happened? You heard something like breaking glass earlier, you fumbled with your porch light switch and didn't make the connection that that's what broke? You didn't tell the police officers that the maintenance man chased and stalked you a few days ago? I guess they might've experience some form of repression. But the way everything was recalled in detailed and retroactively made sense, just feels made up. Maybe it's just me but that specific thing about broken porch lights have been used in horror movies that I immediately think there's someone trying to break in.

As someone who is both into the occult and also FROM Traverse City: The first story had me actually laughing out loud. The "Welcome" that wasn't friendly was probably the two dudes being super confused that anyone found their circle, they were almost certainly not 'satanists', and they were probably trying to stop the kids from leaving just to explain the situation so they could finish up before the kids alerted the guards. Most occultists I've met in my life are FAR more friendly than religious folks, especially Catholics. Also the bird was *probably* not killed by them and was instead found, but that one's possible.

I have renovated areas to create psych wards (behavioral heath facilities if you want to be politically correct) within hospitals. After the first job, my boss immediately handed me another. I looked at him and asked, "Are you just giving these jobs to me because I am really good at figuring out how to kill myself?" It is crazy the things you have to take into account, making sure you can't hang yourself from or stab someone with anything. Door handles/hinges/closers Sinks/soap & towel dispensers/faucets Floor drains and air supply/return grilles Window blinds Handrails Light fixtures Toilets even have to be flush to the wall from the floor to the top of the toilet so you can't tie anything around the back of toilet, then around you neck, and twist until it strangles you. There are an odd amount of things you wouldn't think to kill yourself with. Oh, and tamper resistant screws on EVERYTHING. I think I did a total of 3 psych wards, each in different hospitals and cities. Pretty interesting.

The 17 yr old girl had no business living alone. She was way too naive. I won't say too young because many of us are/were capable of living alone at that age. Many of us were latch key kids and had enough understanding of how the world works to be able to take care of ourselves. Her confusion of how the maintenance man gained access to her apartment, how does one not know maintenance has full access to apartments? How did she think things would be fixed? She seemed pretty confused about work hours as well. No, maintenance doesn't work in the middle of the night. Possibly if an emergency arises because they're typically on call but work regular hours otherwise. She didn't inform the police of his behavior either or go to management after any of the incidents. Being shy or introverted or any of that is no excuse for putting yourself in danger. Or even thinking the problem will just go away. That's all signs of being incapable of living alone. This story is kinda absurd to the point it seems fishy but my first apartment experience was similar with maintenance. I would come home and there would be cigarette ashes everywhere and cigarette odor, we didn't smoke. My furniture would be rearranged. Vertical would be out of whack and twisted. Every time I called to report it to the office I was told it wasn't their maintenance. Their maintenance didn't smoke. That was bullshit because the one would always wear his cigarettes and cigarillos behind his ear. So yeah, I get it. But I still think she wasn't ready to live alone.
@shawnbbunbbbybbb3942
@shawnbbunbbbybbb3942 Жыл бұрын
Yea that’s the first of many things I thought was weird about this story that a 17 year old girl was living alone. Then the fact that the maintenance guy was in her bedroom… what could he be working on in their. My guess is that he was waiting for her to come home alone and ambush her and most likely S.A. her (not sure if I’m allowed to actually say it for some reason) but when he heard her bf the fact that a man was there scared him off and neither of them thought it was odd he just ran out without “fixing” whatever he was working on. And then he basically chased her to her door, he’s obviously targeting her for something and the fact that she didn’t report any of it is just gonna embolden him to keep trying until he succeeds with whatever he has planned for her. And yea I’m pretty maintenance ppl have keys that allow them access to every apartment in whatever building they’re working in. A lot of jobs have background checks and psych evaluations but I think maintenance men should definitely be vetted like that as well because you’re not only giving them complete access to anyone and everyone in the building but they know who lives where, who’s alone and when they’re home or not so if there’s no vetting process sexual predators can get these jobs and have way too easy access to vulnerable ppl where they should be safest, in their own homes.

I'm pretty sure the renter needs to be made aware when work is going to be done and someone will be entering their living space so that is definitely sketchy! Also some people don't have a choice and have to move out on their own young. Unfortunately what comes with that is being tossed in the world not "fully knowing how to swim" or what comes with being on your own. She stated that she would have handled that situation completely different now that she is older.

But in order for us to just come in we knock a few times and yell "Maintenance" If nobody is home we slowly open the door and yell "Maintenance" a few times just so nobody gets spooked. We also have these little green tags we put on the doors to let the resident know there is somebody in there. You can use them if you want or whenever a resident comes in you can say "Maintenance is here" you never just let them come in and expect you there. Only if you have permission to enter should a resident expect Maintenance to be there on that day.

I had an experience very similar to story #7 a few years ago. I stopped at a gas station to pick up some snacks and drinks before going to work, when the cashier asked if I wanted a fresh cookie. I hesitated and thought about it for a few seconds, before deciding to buy it. A few minutes later as I was driving to work, I was approaching a green light - that had been green for several seconds as I came up to it. Right around 3 or 4 seconds before I went through the intersection, a truck blew through the red light on the crossing road. They weren't speeding (at least not much), but I very well could have avoided a nasty T-bone. Moral of the story: even if you don't buy the cookie, at least consider it for a moment.

The story about the kid who had to deal with the step mom Rachel just broke my heart. I had to deal with something similar, and every time I hear stories of people abusing children so severely for the smallest things, especially if they're not even responsible for what happened. It's so sad that the OP didn't feel like they could go to their mother with what was going on. I'm sure the family they had would have done something to help. Unfortunately though, a lot of abused people, especially children, don't think they can ask for help because their abuser's influence is so overpowering to their need to get help. I hope the OP in that story can recover.

My best friend since middle school has it and as much as I Love the guy, the majority of the time he can be insanely hard to get along with in the sense of him constantly "flipping" like Maria in the story (one minute being angry the next coaxing on a repeating cycle; but with my friend not being squarely angry in his flipping). It all comes across as selfishness looking at it but I know my friend doesnt have malevolent intentions. I am no longer really speaking with him atm bexause he has gotten into smoking inxreasingly sus things and I drew the line at him constabtly smelling like weed. Anyways that dude's time with Maria mirrored my time with my friend so I just decides to xomment it : p

Imagine showing up to a strangers house to fight because of a virtual interaction lmaooo. Sorry, but that is insanely stupid. That's exactly why you don't do that. And it's not a brag to get into lots of fights, it's a sign of immaturity. That person got super lucky considering how wreckless they were Glad they grew up though

@@chikari123 right not only did she leave herself at risk but she leaves other women at risk. From the moment she ran from him and felt like he had an evil look in his eye she should have reported him to the landlord, then once he was at her door trying to get in she should have taken action. Hell she should have taken action as soon as she heard glass breaking! Who hears that and then doesn't go check to see what happened?

I’m the caretaker of an abandoned state hospital. Yes, I’ve had experiences but nothing is as scary as the living. I’ve spent time there alone at night and I’m a woman. The main building is wide open and the most popular. People talk about demons there and it’s the funniest thing. People are just afraid because it’s dark, empty beds, and decaying walls.

The BDSM Kevin one disturbs me BIG TIME. I was talking to a gorgeous guy that was super charming, sweet, romantic, blah blah blah........ his name is Kevin too, and he's a BDSM dom also, and was already calling me "Daddy's Girl" and "Daddy's Princess", and he was ready for me to sign contracts......I better have dodged a bullet because he ghosted me out of nowhere just a few days ago. I doubt it's the same Kevin, but I could ask his ex wife and the last girl he was with.

Nope. Nooo. Naw. Story 3 - the woman who didn't report the maintenance man - she just gave him a lifetime to be SUCCESSFUL in his violence. All she could talk about was herblahblahblah and didn't even realize the simple responsibility to name that man. Even if she remembered him later. Happy ending for her - what about the next woman?

Horrorgirl333 story 2 "He almost tried to murder his ex, but I won't go into details about that. (You are posting to Let's Read...) He didn't actually kill someone and came to me with three contracts to sign for consensual consent." Why bother submitting this if you won't even go into detail of the accused, potential murderer? This story was them bitching about someone for 20 minutes straight without telling the story of their accusations. That's why I come to Lets Read....for creepy, scary content. If I wanted to hear bitching I would watch a preppy girl podcast.

The Waitress was so exasperating, as it was obvious it was the Maintenance man who was doing everything and she should of called the Police the 1st time he was in her apartment and the last time when the Police asked her who do you think it is and she said, " Nobody comes to mind", I mean DUH Lady.

I guess having never been in that situation, I had a bit of a tough time having patience for the guy in the last story. I understand that he had "validation issues" and really terrible self-esteem, but geez. After awhile, you just say "OK, enough. I deserve better." After that incident with the tablet, by the time he was staying with friends or at the park, I'd have though he would have stopped contacting her. BUT I get there are people like this - those that are willing punching bags, and repeatedly going back to the abuser, running full speed through a few hundred red flags to get there. He must have had a very unhealthy upbringing or something - maybe had narcissistic parents?

0:20 Bro did ONE google search and declared himself a specialist on the matter ☠️ The size and nature of an asylum depends on where and when it was built. Just because asylums were generally being shut down during a certain time doesn't mean EVERY asylum got shut down at that time.

The last story wasn't scary, it was annoying. I was going to say he dodged a bullet when she kicked him out, but when this person's self-esteem is below the pits, there's no helping until self-respect materialises. Good luck man.
