I believe there is a common thread between all of us listeners. Usually, when we listen to these stories, we become relaxed and calm down. Does anyone understand why these stories lul us to sleep or at the very least, chill us out. My theory is that, hearing these terrifying stories, helps us feel a little better because we can breathe a sigh of relief, as these horrible incidents didn't afflict us. Like, the world is so messed up, but you hear these stories and almost breathe a sigh of relief. As well as LR calming voice and calming way of telling the stories. I really enjoy let's read. Also, my name is Jessica 😱 JK

I found the story of the girl with mixed ancestry relatable except the creeps were here in the US not in my ethnic country. I was nearly abducted 3 times in my childhood by men with a mixed race fetish who who also pedos. I get the occasional odd lyft expirence as a result of my admixture but most days if I avoid the usual suspects I rarely encounter this harassment. I don't go on public transportation, or attend events with mostly homogenous US citizens because the things people think it is okay to say and do to me just because I don't look like I fit in have made me damn near antisocial 😅. I don't get how looking different from the majority in a setting somehow makes a person less human. So I felt for her but I never hear the people talk about the creeps in the US.

Let's not blame the victim for having a perfectly normal freeze response to a situation. It's not always easy to react in a situation like these how we'd like to. Be it lashing out and defending ourselves, screaming, causing a scene, etc. It's a perfectly normal reaction to just freeze up and be unable to react in the moment. It happens more often than we'd care to admit. And it's not just something easily overcome as it's your brain reacting to the situation and your body refusing to do anything.

And also, if you'd already phoned the police about a dude being naked, why would you not mention to them about the screaming? Even if it was a movie or whatever, better to mention it and be wrong than the alternative.

All of your videos are anxiety remedies for me. Seriously, I'm a 33 year old gay guy with a bad case of the ol 'pression. I thought I knew what depression and anxiety was... about ten, fifteen years ago. I had no fkn clue how bad it could get.

Self-flagellation was a common practice among monks in the middle ages. Maybe someone doing this today is over zealous, but I don't think he is crazy. And there is no evidence that the writer knows that the kids were anymore than they let on. Non-believers and secularists often seem close-minded to the religious passions that zealots can feel This is quite contrary to their feelings often on LQGBTABCD emotions where everything is ok.

It’s not a question of letting Reddit decide your medical situation. It’s a question of people outside your own bubble suggesting to you that you get medical help for strange, sudden, possibly medically related changes in your life.

I was totally into the video until I found out the second half was all a bunch of Pokémon Go! related stories all grouped together. Don't get me wrong, I like Pokémon Go! In fact I have my own true scary Pokémon Go story. But when you hear 5 stories in a row that start with "So I was really into Pokémon Go...." it gets a little boring.

I do wish people would call police more often if they suspect something going on. I've heard so many accounts on the news where they found a missing person, sometimes alive, sometimes not, and when the neighbors or family is interviewed, they always say, "we thought something strange was going on," or "we suspected he would hurt someone someday." That's maddening to know so many people knew something shady was going on, and not one person called even for a "welfare check."

Don’t call the police on people if you don’t know what’s going on/have evidence of “life-threatening” wrong-doing. You could escalate a situation that wasn’t insidious just ‘cause you were being nosey.
