Maybe the wife was a dress maker and the corsets were from Wedding dresses or costume pieces. That room with all the corsets could of been her sewing room.

I watched this on a crime scene cleanup video that after the woman's mother died she couldn't bring herself to go back in the house to get everything out so she only took a few valuables and pictures and she said that she'll just let it go abandoned. Most of the time it has to do with death and why they leave the house behind. I watched this one video where this guy murdered his girlfriend and with no other family members the house went abandoned

It was built back in the 30s I believe. Also the family who lived here may have kept more antiques that give it that older feel.

Based on the last room upstairs, it probably was a child's bedroom. The pale pink walls just seemed out of place from the muted blues of the rest of the house.

Anyone else wondering why the husband and wife have different bedrooms?
@cookiemunsterninjaa3 жыл бұрын
Let's say they got married around the 50s or 60s..some couples would have two beds one for the wife and the other for the husband and well I'm guessing with them they decide to sleep in separate rooms 🤔
@lindsey99583 жыл бұрын
Not everyone enjoys sharing a bed with someone. Some people prefer to have their own living spaces for a multitude of reasons. They could simply desire to be alone at times, have a sleep condition (such as loud snoring, sleep walking or night terrors), be adverse to physical touch, they could also just be a light sleeper, one could wake up much earlier than the other for work and does not wish to wake their partner, etc. It's really not that strange...

hey! love this video :)) a quick question (not sure if this is stupid or not) but why would someone leave so many things behind? because i assumed (obviously wrongly) that even if the owners of the house lost ownership for whatever reason, they’d take their belongings? even stuff like cremes or medicine or photos seem like things you’d take with you? idk, im just curious to understand why ahah :))
@UrbexMuse4 жыл бұрын
To be completely honest its something I don’t even fully know the reason behind. I know the husband passed away here but that he also had a family, and as for what happened to them I’m not really sure. Sometimes places like these leave you with more questions than answers😅

I was thinking maybe a storm or something urgent drove them from the house, then other "explorers" staged certain areas...
@jb99rapp4 жыл бұрын
Usually what happens is grandparents die, the kids usually moved away or the ones staying can’t afford the upkeep on the house and none of the grandkids are interested in it so the property is kept for its value but the house falls into disrepair and forgotten about. If you live in an urban area they usually make you tear down abandoned houses however in rural areas no one cares. Same thing happened with my great grandfather’s old house (he died in 1998) that I’m currently remodeling, 90% of his stuff is still there. My family took what they wanted furniture wise and left everything else, looked a lot like this one albeit in better shape.
@jb99rapp4 жыл бұрын
Also people saying that it’s crazy all the stuff is left like it was... as I stated before the family takes what they want and everything else is just left so I believe a lot of that stuff hasn’t moved in years

I like how you narrate and wonder out loud (unlike some people who say things like they Know when the totally are so wrong) and then look things up, and post the answer after you research it.. One thing though, haha,corset:: "not like people didn't wear them in the '80s". If you mean 1980s, they didn't wear corsets then-they stopped wearing them in the 1920s. Maybe you mean for style? For style, they were not a thing at all in the 1980s-much less so than even now. This must be a corset for an injured back. See how strong/thick the frame is? it's not a normal corset.It's not delicate enough for being part of a dress.
