That mine had everything! Stopes, shafts, ladders, ore carts, a skull, ammonia nitrate, old-school timbers, ore chutes, and ore cart tracks. Very interesting, engaging video. 👍x2

Thanks Frank! I thought the workings were pretty crazy for a gold mine. The vein system seemed really random. Pinch and swell they said but I call it weird lol! Hope all is well sir! Temps warming up, we need to meet up half way somewheres!

@@ZiaMountainAdventures That was good that you were able to determine that the vertical shaft higher on the hillside as well as the lowermost portal were both, indeed, collapsed and inaccessible. Always hate to leave a place not knowing if the other access points are doable or not.

Man, I wish I could have made the trip up to Colorado with you guys! I still haven't visited there yet. That was pretty interesting for a gold mine, with the branching drifts and cross-cuts! It's really cool to see the old and new efforts merging together inside of that place!

Me too! I think you would’ve dug it! Many more fish to fry!

I have always wanted to try this as a hobby ! ( spelunking) do you need gas masks and gas detectors? I heard it's safer to do so . Never know If there's H2S gas or methane down there

Yes h20 and h2s monitor a must. Thanks for reminding me ! I actually need to re up on mine. They only last so long and you have to buy more. I dont do the mask thing.

is it expensive for all that stuff ?@@ZiaMountainAdventures

Depends, you can get them seperate or all in one. Prices vary. I use a h2s monitor $120 and use the old lighter method for h2o.
