I agree with the comment about the bathroom mirrors: there is such a thing as too many mirrors in a bathroom and having them in the wrong places. Some of the things done in a bathroom don't need to be seen even by ourselves.

In the basement 13:24 the room you think was a library due to all the book shelves. The first bookshelf in the right doesn't match the others and it has "feet" while the others look built in. I would have loved to pull on it!! I bet that was the hidden door to the room with the lattice barrier!

Most excellent video as usual! You can clearly see that the pipes had not been winterized, you can see that through the ceiling in the basement. Also who would let there kid mark the walls like that? You said that he'd be grounded for life, no his ass would be lit up like a Christmas tree.

Seems the pipes froze, splitting the pipes on the hot water heat registers and flooded the basement, I own a old Queen Anne, same thing happened to mine a few winters ago, only takes one pipe or one old register to break for the water in the whole system to flood the house.

as they say, location, location, location. these abandoned houses are located in area very remote and far from city centers. just to buy food you have to drive miles and miles, and there is no public transportation available. there is no corner grocery store within walking distance. so no use to homeless people.

I think this house is a casualty of the 2008 housing market crash . The bank foreclosed on the house and then the bank could not sell it so the bank wrote off the home and it will sit there until it falls down from the elements. We paid for this house through taxation and this is the BS we get from bailing the banks out. peace

There's a lot of writing and scribbling on the wall. One of the writing was in Chinese. Most probably a Chinese family was staying there. Normally, they would bring along their grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles with children to stay with them. That's the reason for the big house. Most of them are wealthy and to them abandoning a $3.5 mansion for a newer and better mansion is just like peanuts. I could be wrong, though but based on a number of videos on abandoned houses, most of the houses that were valued more than a million dollars, usually belonged to a Chinese family. I couldn't agree more with the viewers that the mansion is beyond beautiful. The monthly maintenance would be enough to put a strain on an ordinary family's budget. Thanks Riddim Ryder for giving us a taste of how the rich once lived.
