🇵🇸 Exploring Ancient Mosques in Palestine : Al Aqsa, Dome of The Rock, Ibrahimi Masjid Jerusalem 🇵🇸

I pray to our Creator to bring peace to this land so we all from all 3 faiths can live together.
I pray to our Creator to allow everyone to travel to this holy city.
I pray to our Creator that we follow the true messages of all the Prophets (pbut) who were there.

Al-Aqsa Mosque "the Farthest Mosque",also know as Masjid Al-Qibly, located in the Old City of East Jerusalem, is the third holiest site in Islam. The mosque was built in an area (36 acres) known as the Al Aqsa Compound or Haram al-Sharif .
This Masjid was the first Qibla of Islam and the prayers were directed towards this Masjid.
Islamic tradition holds that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) led prayers towards this site until the 17th month after his migration from Makkah to Madinah, when Allah(swt) directed him to turn towards the Kaaba in Makkah.
It is believed that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was transported from the Great Mosque of Makkah to Al-Aqsa compound during the Night Journey in around 621CE.
The history of this place goes past the time of Herod and more. There are different controversial opinions and views by different historians. I am writing here just from the time when Umar (ra) took control of the place as most of the historians agree with the history of the last thousand years.
The covered mosque building was originally a small prayer house erected by Umar (ra), the second caliph of the Caliphate when he took over control of Jerusalem in the year 637CE.
After that it was rebuilt and expanded by the Umayyad caliph Abd al-Malik in 690 CE along with the Dome of the Rock and finished by his son al-Walid in 705 CE.
