Awesome looking inflatable how durable would you say the seams are? Welded or glued? Also is the bottom pretty durable against rocks and gravel?

Thanks for watching! I believe the seems are glued but I’m not 100% sure on that. It’s a great little inflatable for calm waters and sandy beaches but I wouldn’t trust it in anything more than that. I’ve since upgraded to a more rugged and versatile inflatable boat by a local company called Stryker, so I’m getting the Paddleski ready to sell.

Hey Chris! Thanks for sharing! I fish for bass with my Paddleski 437. I haven't been out yet this year, our bass season doesn't start until the end of June. My boat is a 2022 model with a 6HP Suzuki. I had it out in 6-7 waves by accident last year and it performed like a champ. I came out of some secluded channels and the wind had picked up out on the big water. I noticed you carry a lot of gear as I do. Just a little suggestion to help keep paddles, boat hooks etc out of the way - I bought a set of "paddle keepers" on Amazon for a standard inflatable kayak. I have the Explorer 380 as well. They're basically a velcro strap with a snap fastener on one end. String a safety line down the side of your boat, attach the paddle keepers and you can hang any of your paddles etc outboard where you won't be tripping over them. They work great and they're not expensive. I hope that helps solve some space issues. 🛶🛶

Hey Eric! Thanks so much for watching and for reaching out. It’s great to meet another paddleski owner! I still haven’t come across anyone up here in BC yet. Thanks for the recommendation about the paddle keepers. I’ll definitely have a look into those because space is certainly at a premium right now 😅 I’m still trying to find a way to fit my dog (Murphy) on it too for quick overnight trips but that’s still a work in progress. I’m hoping to get back out on it shortly to give it another crack. Tight lines for bass season! Cheers, Chris

Great video. I love my Paddleski's. My older 435ps is 15 years old this year. I also have the newer 437ps too. Great boats, and very portable that I'm able to fit in the trunk of my sedan. What size motor is that? Seems pretty zippy. I have a Torqeedo 1003s lithium electric. It's like a 3HP gas motor.

Thank you for watching! It’s a 6HP Mercury gas outboard.

I will be eagerly waiting for your next video. Like I mentioned, I have been thinking seriously about buying the Paddleski. Do you think it’s large enough for two people to fish in with the two seat option? Most of the time I will be using it alone but on occasion my wife will also go. It seems like the right combination of portability and versatility for our needs, but it certainly helps having another person such as yourself reviewing it on your channel. Thanks for the vids and input!

Honestly, I'd say it really depends how much gear you're looking to bring along. I use the paddleski for solo adventures but prefer to use our larger 15ft inflatable zodiak when my partner and our dog come along. I find that there just isn't enough space to comfortably fit 2 people with fishing (multiple rods, downrigger, garmin + transducer etc) and camping gear. It's definitely possible but it wouldn't be my top choice. I'll put a link below to a recent episode that shows the paddleski fully-loaded on a solo trip for reference. Hope that helps!

Two people fit on my Paddleski no problem, but we're not usually fishing. I see no reason why you couldn't fit fishing gear unless you plan on taking a ton of it, and a ton of camping gear. You could certainly take two people, a small tent for two, basic camping gear and basic finishing gear would all fit. You can also store gear at the bow too and tie it down.

It’s thinking about purchasing the Paddle Ski with a 6hp… Do you plan on doing more videos with this rig?
@cedarcabinsociety11 ай бұрын
Hi James! Thanks for watching. Absolutely! I’ve got lots more paddleski content in the works with the next episode dropping in 2 weeks. I’m also working on a full walkthrough of how I rig up my paddleski.

@thecedarcabinsociety what is the top cruise speed with 6hp?
@cedarcabinsociety10 ай бұрын
It normally tops out at 13-15mph with a fully loaded boat (1 person + fishing/camping gear). I normally cruise at ~10mph though, as it gets a little squirely at higher speeds.

Great video, looks like an awesome day to be on the lake. What kind or what do you call that boat your on?
@cedarcabinsociety Жыл бұрын
Cheers, Chris! Thanks for watching. The boat is called the 437 PaddleSki and it’s made by a company in the US called Sea Eagle. The outboard is a 6HP gas made by Mercury. Hope that helps!
