That other building I think is flat stone.. Slate isn't strong enough other than piling it horizontal! "tightly packed carefully" for small walls I think 🤔 it's strong built like that.. My dad said when we were in South Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 though, there are long walls of it in south Wales mixed with other stucco type stone etc but I was only 6 lol
