The reason you like North Carolina towns is because our state motto is "Esse quam videri" To Be Rather Than To Seem. Authenticity is who Tar Heels are. Glad you love our home. I'm tar heel born, tar heel bred, and when I die I'll be tar heel dead! Hehe!
@SchoandJo2 жыл бұрын
Thats awesome, I love that motto!

Yes Elliot did a great job but Jenn your wrangling of that piling was gold. Can not tell you how many times I or my wife have whiffed on that. You two stay safe.
@SchoandJo2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jeffrey! Jen really knows how to handle those lines - if we were to switch jobs I'm sure I'd be whiffing non stop. Cheers!

Sounds like one of the best areas to see when doing the loop. The welcome atmosphere makes the stop and the expense worth it. The loop is calling and more places to discover. The world awaits. Enjoy

We looked hard at a similar model, a 39 Sea Ranger. It’s a great layout if you have a dog that likes to circle the pilot house! 🙂

I love your videos as always! The quality is really really super! This one, is especially fun, because we are berthed in the new Bern area, so it is great to see someone’s perspective on what a great area it is. I have shared your video with my Northwest Creek Marina group. Thanks for all the work you guys put in. Kudos to Ollie for finding her treats!

As a retired Marine who spent a lot of time at New River Air Station next to Camp Lejeune, I have a lot of friends all along the NC coast and am very familiar with the places you are enjoying. It reminds me of the good old days :)

There is a really great hardware store downtown that is historic. Cool place. And downtown has a great seafood restaurant downtown next to the toy store. We go through there on the way to the beach

I just loved this video. North Carolina seems like such a cool place.....at least where you two visited. I could easily live there, even without the typical fast food joints. I've never been on the loop, but my wife says I am kinda loopy if that counts for anything. haha. Stay safe.

@SchoandJo2 жыл бұрын
The adventure will never end, that's our life goal! The challenge (what we are trying with our KZbin channel and biz) is incorporating work into the adventure to afford said adventure 😁 Back to the office isn't in the 15 year plan!

I thought Bath (chartered in 1705) was the oldest city in NC, but maybe Bath is the oldest town, and New Bern (chartered in 1710) is the first city.

Good call Daniel! Not sure where we read / heard that it was New Bern but Google is saying Bath as well, then Edenton and finally New Bern. Thanks!!

Bananas on boats only bad luck if you're fishing in my opinion.
@SchoandJo2 жыл бұрын
haha good to know - can't give up the bananas!
@willhoyle7522 жыл бұрын
Most of the old timer charter boat captains will kick you off in a heart beat if you bring on bananas. I read one time in the old old days it attracted snakes to the ships.
