Love your vids. (I’m redundant that way). Very well crafted and edited. New Bern is such a great pub and food and wedding town. You could do a whole series on food, pubs, hurricanes, recovery (Florence was rough), and boating just on New Bern. Would have bought you a beer if I knew about you in April. We’re berthed at Northwest Creek. Thanks for posting and the quality of your production!

Definitely, New Bern seemed like a great place for a home base. Will have to get a raincheck on that beer! Cheers

New Bern is a great cruiser's stop. The Baker's Kitchen on Middle St is the breakfast/lunch place to be. If in the area and needing protection from weather, check out Northwest Creek Marina, across the river: friendly, affordable and a true "Hurricane Hole". Nice to revisit the area.
@SchoandJo2 жыл бұрын
We really enjoyed our time there! Will have to come back to visit the Baker's Kitchen, thanks for the recommendation!

New Bern looked like a cute town. It was fun to watch Ollie explore the bears in the park. How cool for you to be able to have dinner with some followers…that was such a cool night shot of the lights when you left the restaurant! I love to watch you all be silly! Keep being you and safe travels!

That is why they say high tides and fair winds. It doesn’t always work out but when it does it’s nice. Good planning helps too. What do you for internet on the boat?
@SchoandJo2 жыл бұрын
Right on! We use a Verizon hotspot as well as our phones for tethering! It's been working pretty well so far.

Good times.... I'm at Washington, NC, just a short ride by car but a little longer by boat from New Bern. Doubt you stopped here as this was probably recorded about 2 months ago. My Silverton 330 can cruise around 18 knots so I get around a little faster than you guys. Safe travels.
@SchoandJo2 жыл бұрын
Ahh darn - well seems like Washington is a pretty nice place to keep your boat can get anywhere from the Pamlico!
@brianflanagan48892 жыл бұрын
I noticed you all steer the boat often. Do you have an autopilot? Even when we are on the ICW we only steer the boat ten percent of the time the autopilot doing the rest.
@SchoandJo2 жыл бұрын
Just fixed our autopilot! The screen was busted, so still trying it out and trying to get it to work 100%!

Can you tell me what kind of covering you have on your dinghy? Looks like it might be great for helping a pup on and off as something to step on that isn’t slippery.
@SchoandJo2 жыл бұрын
Hi Diana! It is a custom sunbrella fabric covering that the previous owners stitched together 😁
