7 years ago this week the new Bergen airport opened. We flew into the old building and left from a brand new one. The opening ceremony was a surprise while we waited for our flight. Great facility.

Thanks; excellent video and editing. Last June I signed up for the North to South trip in January on Havilla. Your segments on the excursions was really helpful. Any excursions you wish you had signed up for?

Thanks! That’s a fantastic question. The ones that stand out that I remember people saying was worth it (didn’t work for us with a 3 year old) was one that goes to a Viking house and have dinner in Stamsund. (Believe that’s south to north though) As well as the king crab meal and snowmobiles in Kirkenes instead of the ice hotel. Some people also liked the midnight concert in Tromso. Hope you have a fantastic trip!

Thanks for sharing your lovely time in Norway. Did you eventually see the Northern Lights? Also, will you get a free trip with Havila thanks to their ‘Northern Lights promise’? Bergen looked beautiful. We hope to spend a few days there after our cruise next year. Btw…Poppy is adorable ❤

We never saw the Northern Lights on this trip. However, Havila did fullfill their Northern Light guarantee so we get to go back. We will have some more content for Bergen in a few weeks as we were back this summer on another trip! Thanks so much!

We will be booking another trip to Norway soon enough and definitely make that a stop. However, we visited Norway this summer and wished we would have know of that in advance but you can see our summer European series including Norway starting next week.
