BRITISH PERSON BREAKDOWN: - Ginger beer is a thing but in my opinion not as popular as it should be. - Irn Bru is the national drink of Scotland, I have not seen anyone drinking it outside of Scotland. - Ribena (rye-bee-nah) is the universal child drink, if you go to an indoor play centre you will see children chugging this left right and centre (it's actually also sold as a syrup and you can add water to it.) - Lilt is lilt, it exists but I've only ever seen one person drinking it. - Fanta is sold nationally and enjoyed by millions. - Walkers = lays. That's the end of the conversation. - Quavers are god tier and are a staple of any kids' lunchobox/ birthday party - Wotsits, same vibe as Quavers - Marmite walkers. No one eats these but marmite has a very love hate relationship with the British public - Weetabix is like the cereal every household has but rarely eats. For the god experience, put a weetabix in a bowl and fill with milk until it's up to halfway on the weetabix. Then sprinkle to shit with sugar and OH MY GOD ITS THE BEST THING EVER - Baked beans are loved by everyone (except me, I hate them) - Bangers are just a British way of saying sausage and are never branded as that so that was funny - Chicken curry pie isn't the go to pie (usually a steak and ale or a chicken slice) but yes. Pie = British - JAFFA CAKE INTRUDER. Those aren't the real jaffa cakes and I'm so mad - Custard - wrong brand AGAIN. You need Ambrosia branded custard. AND POUR IT ON A PUDDING. You can have it plain but usually it's like a pudding sauce - Spotted dick is a primary school pudding, usually served with custard poured over the top. - Idk what that yellow tube is

07:00 So, from what I've heard, Lays (or the company that owns them, forget it's name) bought the UK Walkers company a while ago, and they were going to rename all their crisps (yes, I'm british, I say crisps not chips... Chips are what you call Fries (which also sometimes mean thin/skinny chips over here)) brands internationally to Walkers instead of Lays, but they apparently found that a lot of countries found it difficult to pronounce Walkers (I guess due to the L being pronounced like an R?) so they stayed with Lays and kept it as Walkers over here (probably partially because we tend to get very angry when brands change their names... For example: Marathon being changed to Snickers, Opal Fruits to Starburst, etc... also I think that Walkers is older than Lays?) (look this up in case I'm wrong, but Walkers and Lays are owned by the same company, they're not an off-brand)

To answer some questions you had: I've never bought that ginger beer (or any ginger beer for that matter) before but I see it all the time in shops so people must buy it. Lays bought Walkers and they just never changed the name. They're also called Lays in other European countries so it's just us that calls them Walkers. You probably wouldn't get beans on toast at a restaurant but you can usually get it at cafes, some restaurants that do breakfasts might serve it in the morning. The comparison to peanut butter and jelly sounds pretty accurate, it's mostly something you'd eat if you wanted a quick meal (usually breakfast or lunch) that isn't expensive or if you didn't have a lot of food in the house. Personally I'm not into it and would rather just have rice but it is somewhat popular to have fries (or chips as we'd say) with an Indian curry. Sometimes people do half and half, so half chips half rice. Also you didn't ask about this but I had no idea that Jacob's make their own version of Jaffa cakes. The most popular brand here is McVities. Jacob's are mostly known for making crackers.

The reason some words are spelt differently (colour/color, grey/gray, centre/center, recognise/recognize etc) is that Noah Webster changed the spelling when making his dictionary. He correctly thought it made more sense for them to be spelt in ways closer to how they are said. "Aunty" is pronounced diffrently depending on where in the UK you are. "Anty" is the original ( and correct) pronunciation. The fancier "Ahunty" is a silly southern invention, specifically made up to try to sound posh. Also all of the Aunty's products are rubbish, so you're pudding wasn't ever going to be any good....should have eaten it with the custard though as that's how it would be usually served.

I ordered one online last Christmas, I think the brand was Walkers, and it was delicious either warm or room temperature. Some cafes may make beans on toast but you wouldn't get it in a restaurant. Most cafes will serves beans as part of a full English breakfast and there will be toast on the side or you may get poached egg on beans on toast.

There's a British thing called 'Kevin and Perry'. You are giving me Kev 'n' Perry vibes.

We do have American stores they normally sell a wide variety of sweets and drinks. There’s TONS EVERYWHERE in London and we’re all pretty sure they’re cover ups for money laundering

lmaoo normally people put the beans in a bowl and microwave for a couple minutes, at this point you'd pop the toast in, and then you put the hot beans on some toast (i always had toast with butter) - that'll be the biggest difference!!
