I do not find this as a true Egypt. Cairo has so many neighborhoods with different living standards and every part is a true Egypt.

As an Egyptian myself living here my whole life, I have never been in that neighborhood so I do not understand why would a tourist go there. it is safe there aint any dangerous place in Egypt but not a common place for anyone to visit but for the people who live there.

Another tip from Gigi, and I recently went there to try it, shoarma from Abu Haidar (Heliopolis, you can get close by metro). It's the best! Only thing is, they announce the orders in arabic so you will have to look up on the internet, how they pronounce your order number in arabic. Your ordernumber is litterally the only thing written in western numbers.
