Love your videos! I really liked these boats when stationed in Florida. Then when I moved back up to NE Ohio I invested in a fleet of freighter canoes which are the same....great cargo carriers for skinny water using small outboard. But I couldn't educate the regional folks and the business failed. This is a niche market for sure. But once you own one you see the advantages. Thanks for sharing! Rich

That's my old stomping grounds, born and raised in DeSoto Co, used to go to that pavilion in Liverpool and enjoy the scenery and wildlife. Fished in Charlotte Harbor for many a day. Love it!!

Camping along Peace River has been one of the things I've wanted to do ever since I was a kid. I grew up in Homeland and Peace River was just a mile away. me and my friends always talked about spending a week on the River, but we could never get our parents to go along with the idea and be willing to pick us up at the end near the Gulf.

Years ago, i did a jetski trip from Kentucky lake to the Gulf of Mexico, ending at Dog River Marina, Mobile Ala. Tennessee River and Tenn-Tom waterway was my route. I know what kind of fun and adventure you are having 👍🏻

Attach a jack plate to your transom. And move forward with a handle extension. You won’t have problems in shallow water anymore.

I've been canoeing and kayaking the river there for 35 years and it gets pretty shallow in spots this time of year, especially above Nocatee - there are places between Nocatee and Arcadia I've had to get out and pull my kayak. The best fossiling is above Arcadia.

@@OverlandFlorida I always check the water level on the Arcadia Canoe Outpost website before heading out. Also, the tide does have an effect as far up river as Nocatee and even a little beyond. Sometimes in winter the river flows backward from the tide where you launched from and beyond, lol.

Yes, it’s stable for 2 people to fish out of. It’s the most stable tiny boat. You can both even stand on the same side.

You need a se sport 200 hydrofoil on your motor if your boat is going up and down.

The boat is a Riverhawk B60. It's 15'9 long. 60 inches at thr widest point. I think it's a 2008. I have a 2018 tohatsu 20hp that moves the boat 30mph. I get around 20mpg as long as I'm not going up a river.

Ok, so the tahatsu 20hp currently on the boat is a 2-stroke engine? So mabey a 25HP would bump up the speed to around 35 mph, which for a boat that size I'd think would be plenty.

Do you know how to judge water depth by the color of the water ?....As water lightens up it's getting shallow. The darker water is deeper. Sand shoals can be fairly accurately judged by the shape of the stream.

Ehhh. I'd probably still buy it. But it's bleeding the dye from the sea deck. So the bottom of your feet turn brown and whatever touches it.
