You guys rode right through my property. Alot of the roads out there are actually not public, but hopefully they change that one day.

Well they're public enough lol. No gates, anyway. At least not yet.

@@DorkintheRoad its more of an issue of legality. It was an illegal subdivision of property back in the day. The roads go through BLM and private property. BLM won't give the roads up, and the county hasn't decided to claim them either. So in the end land owners end up footing the bill for everything "past the cattle guard". I don't think anyone wants them gated.

Great post. I own a 450L and my riding buddy has the 500EXC. They really are two different animals. The 500 is no doubt superior off road. For what it's worth, I just had @DarrinMees at M9 suspension just respring/revalve mine and it made a big difference. Check him out when you're in Bend/Redmond next!

Love my 450L. Bought it with vortex, rekluse, fmf and seat already installed. I've never had a flameout. I also got 1" shorter springs for my weight, and that really helped my confidence. Of course, ktm might not need any of that to start out so 🤷‍♂️.

Love the heads up swap bikes back and forth commentary on the 500 versus the 450. It is more money, but the 500 looks like it could be a street street machine and the 450 maybe not as comfortable for that.

Having both and riding both the 450 is far superior on the road. The 500 is much better on the trails.

Get your Showas sprung and revalved for your weight and style of riding. They are far superior to the xplor 48 forks on the KTM.

Great vid but i didn't see it on your list of gear. What comms are you guys using. My Sena SMH10R and most of my riding buddies have Sena 20S suck donkey nuts offroad as they always try to connect with each after 150yards.

Take at least a couple clicks of rebound out of your forks. It will help make your ride more smooth and easier to ride over bigger rocks.
