Nice video, but you need more traction going downhill, going uphill you just need to clutch to stop.

I would buy a 450 version of this bike. Just can't avoid road mileage at highway speeds where I live. Hope Honda compete with the 450MT to make it happen.

This was great. I'm setting up my first DRZ and would love a comparison of the bigger bags too. Really appreciate that you use your stuff, the "review" isn't just a feature overview, but real experience in riding conditions.

I’m on the fence between a tenre 700 or transalp 750. But now I’m starting to think I should consider my options. I really like the NX500 .

I just bought a 23 leftover Triumph Tiger GT Explorer. I always look at your videos for helpful information. I've put my Tusk setup from my Himalayan I traded in on to my new Bike. They fit well, look good and have more than enough room for me to travel . I don't camp unless it has cabins. No room for tent and sleeping bags. That said, I would camp if I had panier setups. Comparing the soft paniers to the factory Givi Paniers. I'm looking at the Trekker setup for the durability. I'm glad I got the Tusk setup and I just bought a SW MOTOTECH City WP tank bag . It's actually bigger than I thought. I was sent the type you have to drill 4 holes and install the bracket on the fuel filler without the magnetic brackets. It was easy to put together if you have a good set of tools

I bungled this one up bad! I'm a veteran street/track guy even though I started on dirt bikes as a kid. A bunch of years ago, after reading Long Way Down, I went and found an R1100GS used and sent it. Had several off and on through the years with my street bikes. Still have an R1200GS as my main today, but I picked up a KLR about 10 years ago and realized how much easier the learning curve would have been.

Much, much better to buy a used Africa Twin than a new KLR. But like you said, the AT is not for new riders. Love my 8 years old AT,... never bonded well with my 2 KLRs. Too boring.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinions and conclusions, however having an opinion or conclusion does not necessarily constitute having intelligence, or being in touch with with reality. Love the down to earth simplicity for the majority! Personally, dorks and geeks are cool. The nagging critics who can choose to watch any channel they want yet continue to return to a channel and leave comments (even if the comments are inaccurate) indicates some type of success for the channel! Keep up the great content Dork!

All i care about is will it get me A to B every bsingle day. If i want to take interstate to the dr 90 minutes away will it do it without tearing up. And go camping fishing and outdoor stuff on the weekends. Basically, drive to work and back every day and play on the weekends bike. I just dont want something that's gone blow up when i do 72 mph on the highway for 100 miles. Forgive me im new to biking ive had a small one and looking to get something bigger and a do all bike. Its my main transport and inuse it for work and weekend outdorr activities. Dont care about speed and that stuff. Just reliability and do it all.
@christiancolvin61515 сағат бұрын
Is 75 mph safe for the engine on this bike for lets say a 2 hour drive. I dont need a lot of speed just want to be abke to travel to work on it daily at highway speeds and on the weekends do a little camping. Thanks. New in biking and habe had a small one want something bigger

Honda! When KTM Comes out with their 2025 390 Adventure bike I am dumping my 2023 300 Rally and buying that , even it cost 12000.00 US , You should have made a 450 Rally than a 285cc and called it a 300cc bike. 27 Hp is barely enough to get anyone to the trail head .Then you make your bikes with a 37"" SEAT HEIGHT , how stupid can you be?

You rock and so do your honest, complete, thorough reviews. You do NOT seem biased to me and most real riders, imo. What you are doing is super useful. Those who want to be haters, complainers or too cool for school riders can look elsewhere. They may, or more likely think, they know more than you do. But they aren't spending the time and effort trying to educate the non expert riders. Keep up the good work. Thanks.

Congrats on the third finish Ben! You certainly are inspiring others to get out there and do this kind of adventure riding. I've been a street rider for decades, but would love to get on a smaller adventure bike, learn how to ride off road again (have some experience on dirt bikes from my teen years), and see some things that aren't found on or near the pavement. But at my age, not sure I'm down for the tent camping (maybe a night here or there) - I'll side with Ian on that. Thanks.

I am having a feud with a local gang of squirrels that have made it their purpose to chew the plastic front fender and eat the right-hand Bark Busters hand guard (strangely the left-hand one is intact). My dawgs are just too lazy to scare them away. Love my KLR650 which my son calls a farm tractor. 🤣 It's the perfect bike to go to work, around town for errands, and fresh air bushes here in Alabama. Your video is just among the best I have enjoyed. 😀 One of my buds owns a second-generation KLR 650 and he bolted an ice cooler on the back rack and takes his collapsible fishing rod and fishing gear on his side plastic bags. Sometimes he fills his ice cooler with beer and returns home with a couple catfish in place of the beer. Now, that is KLR650 life. 👍

You are like me..getting old. I find that I can do more on my smaller bikes and get less fatigued than the previous fire breathers I have owned. I too went from a 450 to a 300 and now on the street I'd like to get rid of my 1100 and get either a 700 or 750. Less is more. The 300 2t is a game changer in the woods and I have so much fun on it and see the backcountry in all its glory.

I did an in-depth review on this helmet over on ADVRider back when the helmet was first released. My big sticking points were the "removable" liner that seemed to be glued in at the sides, liner snaps that intrude on the rear neck pad, and a VERY narrow neck opening that made repeated donning and doffing of the helmet uncomfortable. I like the helmet, but the sticking points were enough to persuade me to return it and go back to my FX-41.

I went with the Tusk bags based on the price point and accessories. I only take a few rides every year but they are rough and mostly off road. I'm more than happy. I've hit the ground a few times and the bags hold up.

Been fun watching your channel grow as I have progressed as a newish rider from my 2022 Himmy 411 to my new 450 your stuff is always relatable. As far as sponsored content its ok to not seel boner pills as you and Ian (BRM) are my boner pills, maynbe sex it up and show some skin in 2025 dont delete the skinny dipping and frolicking footage from out there on the adventures. Looking forward to more good stuff in the new year.

I had a early 80’s KLR 600 and from day one my electronics in that area became saturated with oil. This would cause my bike to shut off while riding, later restarted and repeat. The dealership in Hawaii refused to fix the bike saying I voided the warranty because of the super trap exhaust, that they sold me, go figure. I’ll never own another KLR again!
