Watching this video in 2021... when you travel again to Mexico, showing us the Tulum ruins... Very impressive maya pyramide here in Coba...must have been a great expérience ! What a great perspective from up there 👍👍

I've never in my whole life been so soaked in my own saline as I was when I got back to the bottom of that temple! I'll admit that I started to think twice about it when I finally came face to face with it but I'm very glad that took the climb. I found it difficult to take photos that really showed the true perspective that you gain when you're at the top, it's really quite spectacular. We were told while there that, sadly, we'll be among the last people to be able to climb it as they're shutting down public access in 2021. Even more sadly, one of the main reasons for this is the number of people that like to take Sharpies up there and leave their mark!! Absolutely unbelievable level of ignorance and disregard!

I was just here with my 11 year old daughter 3 days ago. I made it 1/3 of the way up and made the mistake of looking down and totally chickened out. My daughter made it to the top in under 2 minutes. :) Great video!

That's awesome Annie, at least you got to see it! Coba was my favorite of the Mayan ruins I saw in Mexico.

Gabe, glad you found some ruins they allow people to climb on, hope nobody "ruins" it by messing it up with vandalism & graffitti! Or whatever the reasons they disallow exploring. Thanks for being our eyes and ears- for folks like me who don't travel :)

Funny thing was that we were there in 2012. We walked all the way to the Nohoch Mul. But after doing that and climbing the pyramid in 100 degree weather, we took one of those bike taxis back. We missed the part by the lake due to being on a tour and not enough time.

Gabriel. Ive been to Tulum ruins 5 years ago. Is it worth going to Coba?
@GabrielTravelerVideos9 жыл бұрын
Yes, Coba is way more impressive than Tulum. Awesome jungle exploring and you get to climb to the top of the highest pyramid.

This video shows the importance of having a well educated English speaking guide. You obviously did not know what you were looking at or the significance of anything except the small sign you read.
