Exploring Cow Tower - DJI Mavic Pro

Still getting to grips with my DJI Mavic Pro I decided to take it on a walk down to Cow Tower a 14th century artillery tower by the River Wensum in Norwich. At the end of the clip I test the active tracking. The Mavic pauses in places as it tries to work out weather or not the branches of the trees are obstacles that need avoiding.

Once you get more confident you can turn off obstacle avoidance

I don't normally have it on it's more of a hinderance. I think it's required for active track though.

Nice video man. Im suppose to be getting my mavic through best buy tomorrow. Stupid question: after your flight/ recording, did you us the DJI GO app to upload to youtube or did you have to upload the video to your PC then youtube? What editing software did you use? What kind of computer would I need to edit?

I have a Macbook so used Final Cut Pro, but could just as easily used iMovie, or if you're on windows then something like Windows Movie Maker at its most basic, of Sony Vegas if you need a better editor. I shot the video in 2.7k and downscaled to 1080p. 1080p straight from the Mavic is terrible. Most people shoot at 2.7k or 4k. I like to edit and mess about with my videos, but you can upload straight from the app. Bear in mind that the app itself only records 720p or 1080p so the quality is not going to be good. It's better to remove the SD card from the body of the Mavic and copy the full resolution files to a computer and upload from there.

Looks like Audio Network have decided to Monetise this. I guess I should have stumped up the cash for the Creator+ licence instead.
