carrie, you made me realise that i grew up in the most beautiful parts of Bangladesh. I finished my School level from Cox's Bazar Government High school. while in Bangladesh i lived in Sylhet, Khulna, cox's bazar etc. But cox's Bazar on those days was very different. very few hotels were there and the new roads were under construction every where. The temples i remember was 100's of years old wooden structure. how come they demolish those i can't imagine. may be burnt down by fire... You should be full time youtuber.. you are awesome❤❤❤

Hi Carrie, Loved this vlog so much, thank you. I just love how you are so kind and patient with people here and how you described your travel experience as you go along, it’s so easy on the eyes and ears, I absolutely love it. If you do have the opportunity please check out Bandarban Golden Temple which is another huge Bhuddist Monestry with amazing views high up in the hilltops. Also experience the sunset car ride on the Marine Drive in Coz’s Bazaar, especially when the sunset kicks in, around that time breeze from the air is cool and the sights of the beach, water, sand with the backdrop of the sun going down is a spectacular view, I still remember it to this day when me and my family got on the back of an open jeep to see everything. Cox’s bazaar and the other coastal lines near the Bay of Bengal has so much potential to unearth to the world to bring in more tourism, but it starts with the government to build better infrastructures and safety for travellers. I have read somewhere and see on KZbin the BD government has a lot of plans for Cox’s Bazaar and it’s surrounding areas. I hope British MP Tulip Saddiq who is the niece of our prime minister Sheikh Hasina, MP Rushanara Ali and other British Bangladeshi MP’s and the Bangladeshis living abroad really push the BD government to heavily invest in Cox’s Bazaar and it’s surrounding areas, this will provide many job opportunities for the local men and women. Just to go on the crisps, how did your guide not recommend you Pran’s Spicy Tomato Crisp, it’s the shiny green and red packet (represents BD flag colours) it’s one of the best crisps I’ve ever had and it’s one of the nation’s favourite crisp, hopefully you try it out Carrie, you won’t be disappointed, the flavours are next level 😋 Much love from Sylhet ❤️

Thanks so much! It’s good to see roads and bridges being built and yes cox’s bazar needs a bit of support.. do you know the one thing I would sort out there straight away though? The litter.. it’s the first impression of the place.. remove that and it’s instantly going to start looking better/more attractive to foreigners in particular. It’s one of the things I would really like to see change in Bangladesh. I was at the Shiva temple in Rajshahi a few days ago.. watched a lady take off her shoes to enter.. find a nice spot for a photo.. wipe her nose and chuck the tissue on the floor.. and take a photo with the litter in shot! I was speechless! 😆I don’t think people actually realise how much better it would look without it there. There is one video not sure if you saw it called ‘would you eat this’ which was marine drive and Inani beach (towards end of video).. it’s so so beautiful there 😍 Will try and get to the golden temple too! Thank you 😊

Thank you for your reply Carrie and you’re absolutely right about the litter, it’s really frustrating for us Bengalis when people don’t have the common sense to throw their litter away and more needs to be done by the government, education institutions and family at home to really drum in the awareness of littering and how it is a horrible habit that people need to sort out. There are initiatives on many social and civil programmes but it’s not enough as far as I’m concerned and more needs to be done by everyone in BD.

Loved the Crisp part. Never found prawn cocktail and Cheese & Onion in Dhaka market. Salt and vinegar is best on chips.. never liked it in Walkers/Lays..You should try some Dhaka Chicken pattis (Most Bakery shops in Dhaka sell it ) similar to Greggs pasties. Enjoy rest of your trip..

Ha ha ha, that air packet issue- yes, we tend to joke like- "I bought a bag/pack of air; O my god we got some chips in there for free as well .'' 😂 That actually is Nitrogen inside, that helps to preserve the thing- to keep the crisps crispy for longer period inhibiting oxidation inside the pack.😀
