*Dear frenchy, many people does not know that Hinduism , Buddhism , jainism and Sikhism and some parts of Tradditional ChineseTao philosophy has the same origin of knowledge. The origin is Vedanta Philosophy which is the mother of vedas scriptures*. *But the sad part is 99.9% people do not know about these wonderful philosophies.Being a Vedant and sanskrit scholar myself, I feel lucky enough to know these things. However, u r a great human being. Love u brother* *By the way Mahakal is considered to be the universal force of destruction. Creation = Braham, Sustainence = Narayan , Destruction = Mahakal/shiva*

Hey Frenchie, what you ate in Dekevas was not local food. That's korean food and we usually only get that in restaurants. Our food is basically the same as sikkim's, i.e., momos and thukpas, plus other local snacks and stuff. Glad to see that you enjoyed my place.

@@thelocaldiva yes 😂 I’m from Darjeeling and that’s not what the locals of Darjeeling eat. Not at all. I don’t think most of the people have even tasted Korean food or has any idea about it. It’s just the youths being influenced by Korean food and lifestyle. That’s all.

Pierre, what you encountered in Darjeeling was any other hill down with a pedestrian zone, like Shimla, Manali, Mussoorie, which turned out to be underwhelming for your explorer spirit. Perhaps, you needed to drive out to the outskirts to experience the wide vistas of tea plantations unique to Darjeeling. I wish Tenzing would have guided you about that to make your experience about the town more wholesome.

18:41 That cow represents Nandi, a dear devotee of lord Shiva, actually that a bull not cow. In every Shiva temple you'll always find the statue of Nandi facing lord shiva. The face of Nandi always points towards the main shiva idol. Also Shiva is the most worshipped god in Hinduism. Shiva has 1000 names. Even some other deities in India have 108 names each. People say whatever they desire from lord Shiva in the ears of Nandi. You might have seen people saying things in Nandi's ears. 😁

Yes. Pierre. Most of the Indians who have visited Darjeeling would concur with you. West Bengal is a huge state and hence the mismanagement is obvious as Darjeeling is far from mainland WB. Sikkim, Ladakh, Goa etc are smaller states and hence, most of the places there, are in order. The chaos that you noticed is the major reason why it is no longer a popular Hill station for us.
