Wow, great result with such edit. Not easy and even time confusing...all about masking. Thank you. Great video.

Beautiful example. A practical tip with more than 1 instance of the same module is to give them a meaningful name: Ctrl + left mouse button on the number will open the writing field.

Are you going to do the same in RT to compare the results?
@AndyAstbury Жыл бұрын
That would be difficult to impossible due to the lack of masking and multiple instances, Denoise non-local is the same in both, but DT has slightly more control, and of course, the masking. If I had to do this shot in RT, I'd be relying on double processing and a rastor image editor like Photoshop.

@@AndyAstbury Have you tried the RT fork Art (Another RT)? They have some implementation of layers and masking. I think they even brought in some features from DT.

@@AndyAstbury Yes sorry, I was flicking through. Just watched this all the way through, you've done a great explanation of what you have done.

Andy, I'm no expert, but I think you could do a comparison with RT, because you can use multiple instances of the modules in RT through the 'Local Adjustments' menu, each instance in a new 'spot', which can be a 'Full image' spot if so desired - according to RawPedia, it's like using 'Adjustment Layers' in PS. See if you think I'm understanding that right...

I did videos on LA spots ages ago Dean, and yes they are useful. But you can't do what I did in DT without some difficulty due to the two excluding spots you'd need to use!. There would be a way around it, but it would be so tedious and time consumming, you'd be better off downloading DT and doing the fairly simple operation there anyway, even if your preferred processor was RT!
