Exploring Disney's Private Island - Castaway Cay

Welcome to our adventure on Castaway Cay! Today, we’re docking and getting ready to explore this beautiful island, despite a bit of rain. We start the day with a delicious breakfast at Cabanas, featuring Mickey waffles and fried eggs. Join us as we navigate through the adults-only area and head to the pool deck. Although the weather is wet, the jacuzzi is ready, and we make the best of our morning.
As we pull into Castaway Cay, we capture the excitement of disembarking and heading towards the beach. We admire Dumbo on the back of the cruise ship and explore the island’s amenities, including the various shops and BBQ spots. Despite a minor injury, we enjoy the scenery and find a perfect spot to relax on the beach.
At Cookies BBQ, we savor the food, noting the lack of flies compared to other locations. The day continues with more exploration, a great lunch, and some sunbathing. In the evening, we dine at the Royal Court, enjoying dishes like eggplant and herb-crusted chicken, finishing with a rich chocolate lava cake. The attentive staff and delicious food make the dinner special.
