I thoroughly enjoyed your video. You seem to be a "natural" at being a KZbinr, so keep up the good work. Thanks to Linda Smith Davis for recommending your channel.

I love seeing this through your eyes, as a person who was born here, and pretty much stayed in New England my whole life. If you would ever like to visit Falmouth Ma and tour Cape Cod a bit, I would be happy to start you off with a cup of coffee on my front porch and then show you around. Lots of great thrifting and food! ❤️❤️

Our daughter lived in Hingham, MA for over 4 years. My husband and I totally enjoyed our car trips to visit them. So many beautiful memories of how beautiful and quaint the area is. Loved taking the ferry to Boston and the visiting the historic churches there. I to am from Michigan. When my husband retired we moved to Florida but after living there for 12 years ~ I missed Michigan so much We moved back. I guess you could say “Michigan is my home!” Love your channel can’t wait to see more. I also came from New England Fine Living.

My ancestors John Alden and his wife Priscilla Mullins came from England on the Mayflower in 1620 and John was one of the founders of Duxbury, as well as the Plymouth Colony. The Alden home remains standing in Duxbury and still owned by the Alden family through the generations. It is a museum now, and John and Priscilla's graves also are in Duxbury and you can see their tombstones. There also is an Alden Street and other historical places traced back to the Mayflower passengers who settled there.

I grew up in Duxbury and lived on Powder Point Ave. This was the street where you turned around. You didn't show the most gorgeous part of the town. My paper route as a kid was that whole peninsula and I mowed lawn at many of my neighbors homes in high school. The building where the French bakery was was originally Sweetsers General Store. We did our grocery shopping there in the 1970s and 80s. I worked in high school at Bayside Marine just up the street from there and we got our mail at the Snug Harbor post office. If you had continued out on PowderPoint Ave you would have come to Duxbury Beach which is across the Wooden Powder Point bridge which was rebuilt in the mid 80s when I was in high school. It is the longest wooden bridge in the country. My Dad moored his catboat next to the bridge. Anyway, explore some more if you get a chance it is one of the most magical towns in Massachusetts. Thanks for the memories!

It was nice to see what the place looks like today, its different to seeing towns on maps. My Ancestor Francis Sprague settled there from Plymouth when he arrived in 1623. His daughter Mercy Sprague (Mrs. Marcy Tubbs) was possibly one of the two woman known to have worn "The Scarlett Letter" having had an affair with young Rogers, ward of Gov. Bradley. Mercy (My ancestor) believed in FREE LOVE. That is her arranged marriage by her father to William Tubbs of Boston (He owned half of Charlestown and Americas 5th richest man) was not happy. Its a fantastic story of how this led to the end of slavery later in time. Their descendants include US President FDR and Canadian Prime Minister Sir Robert Borden. I may get a chance to visit once day, including Salem Plymouth and Fort William Henry on Lake George NY. I currently live in Magnetawan Ontario a long way from my ancestors homes.

Hello from Missouri. I popped over to your channel from Linda's. Loving your videos. You do a great job. I am looking forward to all your ideas for future videos. A lot of work goes into it I'm sure. My only comment would be that the background music....jmo....doesn't seem to quite conjure up a New England "feel". It might just be me as music is a huge part of transporting me to various settings....so please....absolutely no offense meant. You're doing great.💕🌻

I understand about traveling alone. I did many trips out here by myself to visit my Daughters. I would drive and then explore different areas while they were working. Sometimes I enjoy exploring by myself then I get to see and stop where I want to, but I understand not wanting to do an entire vacation by myself. I did a lot of arm chair traveling on Social Media too, which can be fun. Have a beautiful week Dee!

I’ve had more fun just exploring quaint towns with all kinds of antique and vintage shops…and a stop at a French bakery fits the bill! Some other places that you might consider are Peterborough, New Hampshire; Ogunquit, Maine; Newburyport, Massachusetts. Have fun and I’m looking forward to your continued adventures!🌹
