Sad thing about those Lefton plaques is they probably were not broken when they were donated. Goodwill (and the others) tend not to be careful with boxes of donated items. I have stopped donating breakables because it kills me that they become useless, broken trash by the time they get onto the floor.

I would have gotten those cherry plates. I have a cherry theme in my kitchen. I saw a lot of cherry pieces in the background of things you were looking at, so I think somebody got rid of a collection. Also, I have seen that mug b4 recently in another video (Jocelyn?) I haven't been to that GW in several weeks, but I'm surprised to see it so empty. It is usually packed with stuff, not necessarily stuff you want, but stuff. I drive past it daily and have noticed extra tractor trailers out back so I wonder if they are doing a seasonal purge. They've done that before. One time I walked in and almost all the clothes racks were empty. I think that was back in early Spring.

I picked up the same owls yesterday, after hitting the two Estate sales that were in that area.. 4 other elderly ladies and I were laughing about how ugly things were in the 70's.. but you had to live threw the 70s décor to find it even now, completely unappealing.. A few pieces?.. ok retro, but you should have seen whole houses decorated in it..ewww .. I have nightmares to this day about avocado green and harvest gold kitchen appliances...lol

I was born on 1970. The avocado green rotary phone i grew up with AND took to college FINALLY died a year or so ago. The matching fridge worked better, held more, etc than the most expensive fridges out now-only got rid of it as the extra storage in the basement because there wasn't enough glue to keep the handle on anymore..and I caved to the ridicule and peer pressure from relatives LOL
