Absolutely LOVE these colors and what you did with them! And 50 is definitely not old! I learned and started a career in medical transcription at 53 and did that for 22 years - best decision this introvert ever made! I'd still be doing it - never planned to retire - but have lost a large percentage of my hearing. So now I have lots of time to learn new things! (I also met the love of my life at 55 and got married again.) Fifty is a great age as are all the years beyond! xo

Denise, I’ve never used bleed proof white but I have watched some other people on KZbin use it and they normally put a little bit in the cap and add a little water to thin it down because it’s so opaque ,strong and thick in consistency like you said. so this might make it easier to use the only time I’ve ever seen them use it straight out of the bottle is when they’re putting the finishing highlight on the finished artwork like in someone’s eye. This may help you when you’re doing it because you said you find it quite thick that maybe adding a little bit of water might be the key. We can only but experiment. and play

Love, love, love a couple of those paintings. Elizabeth who designed the Klimt stencils works mostly on large gel plates, so her stencils are large. I think the smaller stencils work better on the small paintings too!

Those colour cubes I got on your recommendation has revolutionised not only my art practice, but my whole life! LOL. I just had a colour block even though I'd studied the theory in art school... I had no colour rhythm or co-ordination so to speak... just made no sense. I LOVE LOVE LOVE These colors - I am personally a purple girl. I love purple everything and all the variations of purple - however true dark royal purple is my top favorite purple with a gray based purple being my 2nd - basically a graphite based dusk purple. I think that graphite gray, dusky blue and maroon go great with purple - and a little silver - I'm like you gotta have that shine in my work somewhere - at least in half of my work LOL So excited I just got back from visiting a friend in St Louis and I went to the St Louis art supply store you mentioned in a video that you had ordered from and I was able to get the Kuretake Tansai Gambe - Art Nouveau set, the 24 color set - they didn't have the 48 one and the Brass Nib !!! Now I just need the Gold and SIlver mica ink and the gold paste - it was sold out.... I also got something else that I have never seen anywhere and never see anyone yet use this on YouTue - I think you'd like it and want to tray it - I'll send it to you once I take some pictures and find out what it's called - :-)

I have used pastels 20 years ago I used on wood. A clown and used hair spray to set it. My son has it on his wall and never has any come off. Just a thought for you out there that want to try. Most have hair spray on hand....enjoy...really like you ! And your paintings.

I love those and I love the colors you used! Those are up there on my favorites list! I am new to making abstracts and I am having so much fun! You are such an inspiration to so many of us! I don't know if this will help, but I added a little bit of water to some of my Dr Ph Martin's and it worked well. I wish I knew the suggested way to use it, I don't think it says on the jar.

Yay for purple! The last two are also my favorites. When you get bleed through with white, does it end up being a lighter shade of the color underneath when it's dry or does it sort of disappear?

Good morning from Australia! Love the colour palette. What number was it please? My absolute faves are the flowers and the small cubes. I do think the smaller stencils are better suited to the size of the paintings. The bleed proof white can be watered down a bit as it is supposed to be a bit more liquid, it just thickens and sets in the jar. Mine did the same. And lovely lady what is the date of your big birthday? I just had my 60th a month ago!

I have both. I don’t know if there is a difference between the two or just more. I haven’t looked through them both to really see… I like being surprised when I pull the palettes out! I switch back and forth between them. 😊

I LOVE your videos. BUT - KZbin is causing issues - in less than 10 minutes, 3 ads - interrupting the flow. I cannot afford the subscription for ad free YT. This issue has increased over the last few weeks. Sad really.
