Yay, Ned Kelly! Great choice of subject! I didn't know about his bucket helmet, that's funny! Wow, the two sets are so similar. In case no one else said it, the Boko Undo set gets its "shadow" from sumi ink, which is probably why it spreads so quickly in the water and why it doesn't granulate as much as the graphite set. I have the Boko Undo set because I saw everyone on KZbin playing with them, and me want the pritty! But -- like all novelty sets, I don't really know what to do with it, and I've never really used them. I now prefer to enjoy these things vicariously through youtube. Also- I see someone else mentioned that you can use the back of a spoon to polish the graphite. An expert tip I learned from watching youtube!

Nice review of these and great drawing and story telling. I think the reason they aren't filled to the top is to prevent spillover. At least That's what I think because of using a little set I have and the need to use quite a bit of water to activate. It's actually a good thing and I wish other watercolors would use deeper but less full pans like this as there's always unintentional contamination.
