Continue to Hastings CBD, driving around the city to Bay Plaza (Kmart).

Really looking forward to visiting Hastings.Im doing a road trip of North Island in April with my daughter . I'm in the UK. I was born in Hastings 50 years ago when my parents emigrated and they returned to UK when I was still tiny. I was born very premature 2lb 4oz and at the time was the tiniest baby in the neonatal unit at Hastings hospital and wasn't expected to survive. I'm hoping I can visit the hospital and give something to the midwives/nurses/doctors ( obviously will be nobody who was working there now but still a belated thank you is better than none at all 🤣) really looking forward to seeing the town I was born in 😊

Like the little Morris Minor 1000”Woody”you manage to feature twice in tithe Warehouse carpark.No mention of “The Luckiest Lotto Shop in the Land”that you passed at Stortford Lodge when joining Heretaunga Street West. Goodbye Rush Munro’s Ice Cream Garden further down the main thoroughfare,A well known,popular institution in the hot Hawke’s Bay.
