Few days back we had the opportunity to host internationally acclaimed Australian food writer Charmaine O’Brien for a food walk that revolves around the premise of her latest book ' Eating the Present, Tasting the Future ' . It was an ecstatic and memorable experience for us since she is one of Anubahv's favourite food writers whose work continues to be a huge influence in his pursuits.
Charmaine has been researching and writing on Indian and Australian culinary history and culture for more than two decades. Her extensive journey across the length and breadth of India has resulted in a deeper knowledge of the Indian culinary traditions from the inside out.
In her latest book, she unravels the multiple facets of India's contemporary foodscape and the forces transforming it. At a time when culinary cultures are topics of increasing global interest, the book offers a unique insight into the evolution of the complex food scene of India.
Come along with us on this cherished and enriching experience.
To order your copy of the book, visit the link -amzn.to/3VqgHpP
We extend our sincere thanks to The Australian High Commission, New Delhi for giving us this opportunity.

31:30 here the tradition was to eat fresh cheese which is panner/cottage cheese because milk is abundant but lately western trend of cold storage is kicking in. you can decide to eat fresh or preserved.

Excellent episode. Nice to see so many different food vendors. My only small little criticism is towards Ms. O'Brien. She kept pronouncing Macaron as Macaroon. Those are two different pastries. Macaron is what you guys were eating, which is almond based, while macaroon is a coconut-based dessert.

A shame Delhi is becoming more and more sanitised. All the places in the video could be in London, New York, anywhere. Please don't lose what makes your city special.

For the last one and a half months you were out of India and doing food vlogs in Dubai and Bangladesh. In between briefly came to India and did the same thing in Daryaganj. But when you managed to film this episode, it does not look like a day in May, Meenuji is having a cardigan like dress. This is a common practice for all the KZbinrs, they never reveal the actual date of filming. Few days back means how many days back, 45 days or more or less. Some vlogers showing drinking hot tea and still shivering in June.
