Interesting lecture. I‘m studying 中华人民共和国普通话 and the history of 漢字 is interesting. Your accent reminds of a game called Age of Empires 2. In the Scottish campaign, the narrator says: "...We are without a leader; the dead king of Scotland has no heir..."
