This is a really beautiful place to visit! I’ve been there a few times. I’ve got a brother & sister-in-law who live there & apparently it’s really quite expensive! But in seeing the sights I’ve been able to see it’s really lovely 😊!

Ya I was born there and my grandma had a house with apple trees pear and prune trees, cherry trees, grapes and peaches, it was like waking up to a little piece of heaven in the summer times. There were tiny irrigation ditches running all through Rutland. I was 10 then, and now I'm 62 and living in Calgary but I do miss those days.

These people have a shitload of money living in White Rock and being able to afford to stay at the Delta Kelowna then still having money left over to eat out and do activities. I’ve clearly made the wrong choices in life after 30 years working and not being able to afford to live like this.

I recently received a job offer from kelowna (to work as an Au pair). Im 19 years old and In september I'm going to Canada to take a gap year before university. Do you think Kelowna is a good place for young people? Is spending a gap year there socially fulfilling in your opinion instead of a bigger city like Vancouver?
@LifewithRochelle3 жыл бұрын
Kelowna is really beautiful and there’s so much you can do during the winter and summer. 😊 You can go hiking, snowboarding, camping, sailing, swimming, biking etc. My husband and I only visited once for a few days so i wouldn’t really know if it’s going to be socially fulfilling but if you watch other KZbin videos featuring Kelowna you’ll see their Downtown is quite nice and has lots of restaurants to go to. On the other hand, we’ve lived in Vancouver for more than 5 years now and it’s been amazing. There’s so much to do here as well, and lots of young people too. Hope that helps!

I moved to BC from Toronto and feeling extremely homesick. All towns in BC are incredibly small, including Vancouver, in comparison to Toronto. If I were 19 and moving to Canada I’d be headed to Toronto, it’s the best city in the country IMO.

@@Checkersss I'm sorry you're homesick. I am also from Ontario, moved here (Kelowna) 6 years ago and it instantly felt like home. I would never go back.

@@Checkersss I hope you find a sense of "home" feeling soon. I was born in Samoa (Pacific Islands) but raised here in Melbourne, Australia. I tend to use google maps street view and randomly click on the map. Kelowna blew my mind away, would definitely love to visit and explore the many beautiful places that Canada has to offer!

How racist is Kelowna BC compare to Montreal QC can anyone throw some light please , I'm in Qc and don't know french people here are cold curious to know about Kelowna if anyone know please throw some light thanks.
@TheWayne8698673 Жыл бұрын
As someone who is a visible minority person. I have never personally experienced any kind of racial discrimination for the last 15 years I have been living here, at least not openly. I don't know what Montreal is like. But here, it is very unlikely that somebody is going harm you, in anyway, just because of your skin colour. Hope that helps.
@satellitekhan2300 Жыл бұрын
@There's a will There's a Wei Thanks appreciate this , and yes, here in Montreal french people are cold , especially if you speak to them in english, they hate it , french people are xenophobic not generalizing but hey lots of them are like this , you won't get a good Job if you do not know french but its a nice City big and a lot going on.
