Dude, I had to come back to this video and let you know that you made my mind up for me and I bought one. This is hands down, the best demonstration of it's capabilities, both in tone and the amazing array of choces you have to work with. I've seen most of the videos on here about this amp and the vast majority sound like a distorted mess. Okay for metal players I guess, but you lay it back and demonstrate real tone and do it with feeling - a rarity these days it seems. Good work Justin - you earned a new fan for your playing and for the Spark amp as well....!

Got a Spark amp too. Had horrible earth humm when I got it, wrote to Spark and got them to send me a power supply with an earth pin. Problem solved. Why they saved 2 cents on adding an earth from the start is beyond me. They must know of the issue as they have had the 3 pin power supplies made. I have also changed the speakers to 30 watt Sony 3 way car speakers. They screw straight in to the cabinet. The Pioneer 3 ways also go straight in. The improvement in the sound is great. You can take the speaker grill off with a blunt knife between the side of the amp case and the grill. It is just held in with velcro. The speakers provided are again a cheap one way speaker with average magnet. The car speakers have the right terminals so you just take the plugs off the original speakers and plug straight onto the new ones. It is a great $50 investment that makes the amp sound a lot richer across the frequencies.

This is the best review I've seen yet, especially showing how the amp can show the chords to a song. Most reviews skip that (probably for licensing reasons) but Justin can pull up his own online recordings. I've played guitar for years but haven't listened to enough pedals to know the differences between them. That feature alone seems invaluable for putting together a pedal board for gigs, and sure beats sitting at a guitar store and trying their limited inventory while getting drowned out by other players nearby.
@NORMIES_GET_OUT3 жыл бұрын
Finally a review with some good clean/blues tones and not a bunch of high gain nonsense. I mean it's cool that you can click a few buttons and sound like EVH, but that's not why I want one. I'm sold on it though. I live in an apartment and my Hot Rod Deville is just too much for practicing. I have a guitar rig interface that plugs into my computer, but the software sucks and it's just not convenient to use. I can't wait to try this thing out for myself.

I'm a beginning guitar player, and I'm starting to get pretty good. I recently bought a PRS SE Custom 24-08 Electric Guitar. Now I need an amp to replace the one I borrowed from my son. With so many choices out there, it was so hard to decide. Not anymore, this review really knocked the ball out of the park. I smiled right along with you as you got excited about how you could use the amp. What really sold me on the amp is its ability to assist someone like me who is learning how to play and the ability to explore so much gear that would otherwise be impossible to afford. I will get one of these Spark amps soon, and thank you for your excellent review, Justin. 👍👍👍👍👍

Iv had the spark for a year now and I'm in love. I see a lot of different sets up for a Cabinet so I bilt my own. So my Cabinet consists of 2 500w kenwood speakers mounted together with some nice cart weel on the bottom. Now for the power my spark hooked up to a kenwood stereo in to the CD hook up and run in to a 1000w power amp . It has all the bass ,highs and lows. Now I live out in the country and my Neighbors a 1/2 mile can here me Crystal clear 😁 I sit out back and play alone with some of your tracks.

Fantastic video and playing! Two years later (May 2022) and I just bought this amp. Hardly used it before selling my current guitar (Maverick SuperStrat) and am now eagerly awaiting delivery of an Ibanez RG421. The things people complained (rightly) about going back a while were the bassy / muddy low end, mains hum and lack of a footswitch. Thankfully these have all been addressed by the addition of an EQ pedal last summer in a firmware upgrade, people getting replacment power cords sent out if they're suffering from the mains hum and the release of a footswitch. Even though I've dabbled on and off with guitars for years sadly had major gaps due to family, work and other commitments. However it's great products, honest reviewers and affordable decent guitars that have got me excited to restart the journey :-)

Sounds really nice, I hope it's more stable than Bias FX (which is the software only version) which fails sometimes during the play and create a harsh noice. Over the years I had so many issues with software from PG. It's a hell if it stops working on stage. I will buy the Spark, but only after a year of enough people show that it works flawless. BTW: This walking throuht the settings it a terrible time eater. You can fool hours and hours with the sound. I like this in the same way, you like you showed in the video. It can gives you endless ideas, but sometime it's a sort of very nice! procastination. I'm not a pro, so this is a part of the way to create soundscapes and it gives me the chance to experiment with stuff I never had the money for.

Being new to playing guitar, I was hoping someone might help me with a question that I have. If something like this, or other amps that have built in FX like overdrive, brown, chorus, etc exist, why buy physical pedals? It looks like this basically has loads of pedals built in. Why buy an overdrive pedal for example? I also saw that they have put out a foot pedal which would simulate a real pedal even more. I'm sure there are valid reasons. I'm just not sure what they are.

It usually comes down to what is your most favorite; like what you feel most comfortable playing (which I think might be the guitar he is playing here because it is in a lot of videos). As far as recording, it would depend on what sound he wants and what sounds best for it.

Even though I'm rather late finding this, I found it to be immensely helpful and useful as well as impressive. I've already got my gear, but indeed, speed, size and weight are each individually such a game changer, when you find stuff like this that actually provide the needed performance and improve all three elements, the way you've presented and shown how amazing it is, no wonder I'm seeing more and more musicians selling their analog material. I may even consider selling some of mine and getting one myself! Doubled through any other amp/head and/or Cabinet this thing could potentially blow any audience away lol Great video, thanks so much.
