Salad in Thai means “pirate.” There was a story that in the past, the pirates were at this beach. That’s why it’s called salad or pirate beach 😁

Thanks for the tour. Mae Haad beach, that you called Ko Ma, is my fave in the whole world. I stayed there for about 6 weeks once just chilling. Met some amazing people (before the new large resort was built). What you missed was a 5 min swim out from the sand bar is the most amazing reef. Absolutely stunning coral & fish, you are so lucky to be able to visit when quiet. Koh Phangan does want to make you want to stay (and go back). Before you know it, you've been there months. Enjoy your time there, the NW side of the Island is definitely a jewel.

Hi Christianne, I’m currently bingewatching all your Thailand videos because I am at a AQ hotel in Bangkok right now 🤣 It’s so helpful as Thailand can be quite overwhelming when you visit for the first time. There are sooo many nice things to do. My plan is to go to Koh Samui end of this week and after that to Ko Pha Gnan. I will definitely go to the Full moon party. So maybe I’ll see you there! Keep on making these videos, you’re doing a great job 😊

I won’t be making a video on this but I can tell you it’s definitely not too quiet! Sure, it is significantly quieter than usual but I’d say in the best way. Things are not crowded, you rarely have to worry about things being full booked. The nights end sooner but there is always a secret after party and the curfews are actually getting later all the time (when I arrived in Thailand, it was 9pm, now it’s 1am!)

I've followed you for a while and automatically clicked when I saw you were on our island. I'm watching this next to my boyfriend and the second you said you were at Bodega we both gasped, you do not seem like the Bodega type (I'm not either) hehe but glad you had fun! it usually never rains this much in February. So unlucky for tourism, but it does cool it down a bit which is a nice break from the constant heat.

I would like to know your opinion on going on a solo vacation as a woman to Thailand right know. I have been there in 2018 travelling solo and I loved the experience. But I am afraid that the backpacking experience will disappoint me after Covid. Do you recommend waiting still? Love your videos!

The backpacking experience absolutely does not disappoint right now! It’s not as busy as ‘normal’ but there are still lots of people around and it’s very easy to meet people!
