This channel deserves 100 times more subs than it has. The knowledge and effort is remarkable. You guys have helped me in my working life on so many videos. Hats off and keep up the good work and keep the content coming.

Thanks a million for this. I've been having a terrible time sifting through documentation trying to get specific answers to specific questions, and this is helping me get a good enough understanding of what is actually going on so that I can experiment and get things functioning as needed.

So true. It is very poorly documented specially the parts you really need.

Thanks for posting excellent training sessions. Of course! It's free and practically useful. I have a side question about Ingress Controller. When I consider "Ingress Controller" as control plane, how can external Egress traffic send down from touch point LB to "north/south" direction down to pod services?
@ContainersfromtheCouch3 жыл бұрын
I don't think I follow the question. When you define an ingress controller, such as the ALB ingress controller (for example)... traffic comes in via the ALB and is passed directly to the pod IP address. Response traffic from the pod is routed back to the ALB and outbound from there to the requestor. Does this answer your question?

Also, when consider type of Cluster IP as "Load Balancer" does AWS always choose Classic Load Balancer by default? If implementing without ingress controller, how the ELB send traffic down to pods? I have little confusion about k8s network topology.

Yes, Load Balancer translates to ELB (or classic load balancer). This traffic will get forwarded to kube-proxy on the node, then from there onward to the appropriate pod.

So out of curiosity what model headphones are those?
@ContainersfromtheCouch3 жыл бұрын
They are the Bose QC35s, but we aren't using them as microphones... just for our own audio. They're very comfy to wear all day, though.

@@ContainersfromtheCouch got the in ear models at the moment, looking at getting a set of QC45's.

I always get the idea that AWS is a great service, but their website ironically is slow as hell XD
