Exploring & Land Based Fishing on the Chatham Islands, New Zealand. Milan & Alex on holiday.

Milan and Alex are off on a fishing adventure to the Chatham Islands visiting brother Toby and his partner Tiffany. Toby accepted the job of Port Manager on the Chatham Islands and invited Milan over to explore the place and do a bit of land-based fishing. Milan has always wanted to visit the Chatham’s, so he didn’t take much convincing!
Before Milan left, Nathan handed him the work phone and said, “Please film it. Just talk to the phone in the morning about what the day's plan is, and film stuff as you go. Then talk to the phone again at night about what you did that day and I’ll do the rest.”
This Lateral Line fishing mission is gonna be a little bit different.

Welcome to The Lateral Line, an online fishing show presented by Milan Radonich and Nathan O’Hearn, 2 best mates better described as brothers. They both have a genuine love and respect for everything that New Zealand's outdoors has to offer.
The Lateral Line is all about being out in the wide open spaces with good mates, for days at a time, soaking in New Zealand’s beautiful scenery, laughing out loud, and having as much fun as possible while trying to catch something to cook and eat. Throw in a few big Yellowtail Kingfish and the odd big Snapper and the boys are living their best lives.
Milan and Nathan have been fishing together for over 15 years and had always dreamed about having a custom-built boat that would suit them and their fishing style perfectly. Danye at Marco Boats in their hometown Morrinsville has quite literally made that dream a reality. He took all the ideas the boys had and built a boat with the model name Sojourn. Sojourn meaning “a short stay”.

I've been to NZ end of 2022 and I already miss it so much. I have rarely felt such a connection to a place like to NZ. Was there a couple of weeks ago. You have a better eye for photography than me. Great place, wonderful people. I fished with a rod and the moki tied me round the poles. Managed to catch a butter fish of the concrete blocks - beautiful eating. All the beaches and rocks are private property so you , pretty much, need contacts to access them. Love your videos

Milan learnt the hard way with the poles Moki fishing and yes need permission to fish the “good spots”. Milan meet lots of the locals when he was there and learnt a lot in preparation for the next round 👍 Chur chur

far out that is epic as. chatham island is in my bucket list destination for fishing. so cool milan gets to showcase his adventure. the landbased fishing is so epic from what you shown, especially the moki fishing.
