Exploring Lonely Beach and Kai Bae on The Amazing Island of Koh Chang

Here's a walkabout of Kai Bae and Lonely Beach on Koh Chang. The aftermath of the last few years is still quite evident in parts of Koh Chang. The local business owners are excited for this year's high season. If you're on the fence about visiting Koh Chang, go ahead and do it. We had a blast and didn't let the rain stop us from an awesome week discovering Koh Chang aka Elephant Island

So sad to see how rundown Lonely Beach has become. I know it pre COVID when it was a bustling, vibey place with many amazing hotels, restaurants, pubs, shops and massage facilities. Further along, about 5 Kms away, is Bang Bao and Klong Koi, the last village and beach on that side of the island. Beautiful places.

The jungle is reclaiming some of those properties. Amazing how quickly they deteriorate . The monkey was looking to rob you ha ha

It's crazy what the humidity will do to a structure over a short time here. The monkeys were quite aggressive since it's been raining there nonstop for many days. They are hungry I guess

Hello I would like to stay there, but I am looking for a good nighlife island in the evening, I have the impression that it is empty. Can you tell me if the beaches are beautiful and if there is entertainment in the evening? Thanks

If you're looking for busy nightlife island id go to Koh Phangan or Phuket. Koh Chang might be busier now though. We went at the very end of low season so there wasn't much going on
