Hi Donal, I had spent 3 weeks in Malawi for vacations this year. My friends and me we got to know and chat to so many locals. We were visiting schools, got invited to new friends homes, we were even staying in there houses in the middle of nowhere. We had the best time of our life. The Malawians are amazing and I totally agree with why they call Malawi "The warm Heart of Africa". Unfortunately, with every beautiful thing about Malawi there is also a downside- it is the poorest country in the world. We had met so many Malawians that haven’t had the chance of receiving a proper education. Lots of the people can barely write or calculate. Lots of them don´t know their age, the age of their kids or mix these up for example. Lots of help is needed for everyone. Kid’s don´t have proper footballs to play with and don´t have money to buy clothing and food. We were supporting many kids in order for them to have sort of a ordinary life. I really appreciate what your doing and I hope more and more people are going to visit Malawi and going to see the beauty of this country and it´s people. Hopefully tourism is picking up and is helping the Malawians as well to live a better life one day. This is also one of my missions to let everyone know about Malawi.

Malawi is certainly one of the best countries to visit in Africa. It's relatively untouched by tourism and has some truly stunning locations. I visited there myself and actually vlogged about it recently. You do a great job of really portraying how Malawi truly is! 😊

I did work in Malawi to understand the locals' diet and to promote new dishes. I really like your video and think Concern is very smart that they invite you to do this video for them. Great job! Pls make sure you try Kambuzi (a local pepper with creamy & smoky taste) and some nayma choma (grilled meat) and chimanga choma (grill maize)!

I had the opportunity to visit Malawi 🇲🇼 in 2018. I also had the privilege to travel extensively around the country because of my host family. I fell in love with the people , they were so hospitable and I had that meal as well. I had the exposure of being with very wealthy people but also spending time in the villages helping out the communities . I hope to return sometime soon to start a foundation. I love Malawi 🇲🇼

This was a great video. Production, editing, camerawork and Donals narrative/interviews were all on pooint. And the nice thing about this video, was that it's not one of those heart wrenching, horrible and depressing ads you see that ask for donations. Those only make me feel bad.This was an actual positive outlook on things, while still illustrating the need for further help. Fantastic work guys :)

I have never seen your channel before, so please excuse me if this is a dumb question, but do you pay for a translator when visiting countries, are you working for a company? I am looking into a lifelong backpacking trip (No time set, just going with the flow). Curious to know if backpacking through Africa is possible without a translator. I specifically looked up this country in KZbin and was led here. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hilltop Farm I don't see how the two are related? a mobile phone is a basic necessity, like a house, and there is a food shortage because of the drought!
@jill56768 жыл бұрын
Hilltop Farm mobile phones are a means of communication, for people in developed countries it's necessary to have a phone in order to get a job, and in any culture it's a safety measure. if you're in an emergency you can call for help, if you're in contact with others outside of your city/village it's important to have a phone so you can communicate with others outside of your immediate community. also, phones can't really be traded for food. selling your phone to have food for your family would be a temporary solution and a last resort. phones aren't luxury items (with the exception of smartphones).
