Exploring MEXICO'S Historic GHOST TOWN! 🌵 Cerro de San Pedro, San Luis Potosí's Hidden Gem

July 21, 2021 / VLOG NO. 185 - Today, I am exploring Mexico's historic ghost town Cerro de San Pedro, a hidden gem located on the outskirts of San Luis Potosí. The village was founded as a Spanish colonial settlement in the 16th century, with the mines built in search of gold and silver. Although it has seen its mining heyday many centuries ago, today, the village is a popular tourist attraction competing with towns like Real de Catorce located just a few hours away.

It was cool that you were able to go inside that mine! It is interesting how people would go in there to mine daily - I could not imagine doing that. Cerro de San Pedro looks really nice. Despite the fact it is considered a ghost town, I'm glad that it is not completely abandoned. Great video!
